New Kitsune sprite in the works, advice needed.

Ok, I'm working on a new kitsune sprite but I have made a few errors and need them pointed out before I start shading and adding the tails and hair. Also I need to work on the chest fluff a little.

Well, DarkFox, it's looking good so far, keep it up, and it'll turn out to be a good sprite. ;)

EDIT: Actually I don't like that yellow too much, maybe something less poppy..

It looks good! But the Yellow is a little bright. :)

Since it's a kitsune (that means fox, right?), I assume it's not human proportion. But the upper part of the front leg seems to small and the upper part of the back leg seems to short compared to the pic.

The lumpy part of the back leg doesn't seem really.. connected to the other part of the leg.. it's hard to put into words. Looking good, though.

My sprites usually look better after I finish it, sometimes it looks like theres something wrong, but there isnt, and when I finish, they're pretty good. Try to put the tails and hair, and see how it looks like

After a long time I'm starting detailing it.

Well she's not really sitting but crouching. Or more like squatting, they can't sit like dogs and cats can, they sit like humans.

1.The eyes are too mad. In the picture they are much more docile.
2.I don't know why you did it, but the first tuft design was way better than that mess that's on the latest one.
3.The back turns downward at the spine to suddenly - soften it a bit more.
4.Again, I don't know what you did to the front paws, but go back to the olds ones and then make them curve more gently rather than having a spikey back paw-part.
5.The back leg needs a line going diagonally so the knee doesn't just look like a big old lump going outward.
6.The ears are too fat.
7.The front legs are too spikey at the elbow.

Looks like it was an attempted shoulder blade, but yes, I think it sticks out a little too much..

1. I'm working on that later
2. I wanted it to appear like it's covering somthing -TOP REASON WHY IT'S THERE- rather than being a giant clod of fur. I'm using a variation of the Renamon style.
3. Going to fix it later
4. I want bigger puffier paws
5. Eh? I thought there was one?
6. I already plan to change them
7. Smoothing is later.

The tuft, as it is, looks like a white octopus is trying to escape. And what would it cover? A chest? The original acomplishes that much better.

And the paws just end up looking like goofy clown gloves. Shrink em.
