They did it because they didn't intend on making a full movie. After a while they thought, whoaly zen, that looks awesome, so they shoved the original movie off the table and made a complete movie around Final Fantasy VII.

back on topic- I didnt reallylike  FF7  the raphics bugged me and It wasn't as good as  VIII,beside the fact it came out before 8. FF7 was...I dunno I just didnt like it

The graphics were good for early PS. It's not their fault they hadn't yet tapped into the PS's full power XP lol

Me and my friend were talking about The FF7 remake because I watched the Tech Demo On Gamespot and was amazed.

I really would like to see a remake but since square said no they probally will not make it even if a pention goes around.

but we got talking about if they did remake it they should keep the game exactly the same Except for the Cut Secens they would use the new graphics .... it be pretty funny to see it made like that

... ffvii advent children i think was screened at the venice film festival... it got good marks by the overlookers... i think it was in japanese/english subtitles.

ps: just because you dont appreciate spirits within doesnt mean the movie failed at all, many people still are fans of it.

Don't get me wrong. I loved the movie myself. It was pretty good. Hard to follow at times, though.

I don't like FF remakes. They're great as they are already and I don't really care 'bout graphics as long as the story and music is good, anyway.

If anything, Square should make a create your own final fantasy game, so u can select from older ff game stories and a few they made up, make characters yourself or use FF characters. That would be awesome. Yet it would be unbelievably hard to do.

Yes I saw this FF7 demo when they showed it for the first time... I hate those bastards.. "blah blah blah there won't be a remake" If they make a Final Fantasy X-3 I'll cry.

you can find the demo thingy on Game Trailers and a lot of other sites but you dont have to sign up on there to see it.

i personnaly ould like to experience ffvii again with ps3 graphics.

battles with J-E-N-O-V-A would be real awesome.

the rollercoaster mini game in the golden saucer would be pretty awesome.

the whole game would be all around awesome.

hell at one point they said there will be o FFAC and they said they were only goning to make that Turks game and no other FF spin offs.
