Weird colors.
« on: July 01, 2005, 07:54:00 PM »
it seems that whenever i try to import somthing into rpgmaker 2003 it says invalid color depth, so i change the color depth so it works, but the colors are all screwed up!

does anyone know how to fix this?

What did you use to change the color depth?

Can you post a pic of what the picture was then and how it is now?
I have Paint Shop Pro 7; never has done that to me. It might be the settings you when decreasing color depth.

Hmm I see not a big difference, but ok. one easy solution is, if you have rpgmaker2000 you can import the chipset as it was before, and select the background for it; it will automatically make it a 256 color depth. Then you can go to rpgmaker 2003 and import the chipset you just imported in rm2k

Now if you don't have rm2k, with paintshop, decrease the color depth, I know it gives you some options, just try the best one that looks better i guess.

Oh, and by the way, PSP sucks for color transits.

I use Gale to transfer color.

By the way, this isn't the right board.

If you can't get it to work with PSP, then try Ultimate Paint. Open your image, select Save As, and click the 256 Color button. And when you import it in RM2K3, make sure you click the neon-pink color to make it transparent.
