Heavy acts: reasons in Charas
« on: August 01, 2005, 09:38:51 AM »
It seems i can't avoid this.
I am not that much on this board, but often my presenca as "the" admin is required.
In these days, more than in the past.

I received tons of PMs and emails about what i should do to actually "save" these formus.

In the first times, i was no more than a normal user with extra powers: everyone who was here can confirm there was no actions at all made by me without asking users their opinion.
Unfortunatly, now it's time to change. Democracy cannot be applied when 90% of users have no idea of what they're "voting" for.

I guess who sent me PMs and emails to will recognize here what i grab from his suggestions.
So let's go.

1) Raffles is banned. He knew yesterday was his last day, and just giving a look at the threads he created in this only day is enough to justify this.
But i want to give more...
One of the referers of Raffles was this google search:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=RM2k+Nazi
All of this without considering the way he act.
He write well, but against peoples. Simply i will not accept it.

2) Col. Mustard is almost banned.
Forum check records shows he and Raffles are linked.
Two times, from the same computer, Mustard became Raffles.
So he knows Raffles or at least he live terribly near ti him.

3) VahnGrave and Asakura are almost banned.
To help/support raffles campaigns, i may say.
Anyhow future will tell if you were really "ugly" or not.

4) Every user is warned.
If we can't have a democracy here, then it's fine.
Mods are powerful than users, and so don't attack them: as in army, if they're over you they can decide against you.

5) Every mod is warned.
You all have to act the same way.
Unacceptable would be if two mods asks for distinct actions by me in a public board.
And if an Admin performs an action, no mod will be able to act against his action. Or un-mod will be an immediate thing.

6) Every admin is warned.
Yes, i wan also myself. If we really need an "army" status here, then i'll shortly have tons of enemies.
Admins are allowed to act as God here, but this will not justify eventual stupid actions. Can't really tell what will happen to them (me) in that case. Possible forum closure.

7) For eveyone:
If you'll publically attack someone who is on your flat or over you without VERY VERY VERY GOOD REASONS, almost ban for you.
So try to solve your issues privately as much as you can.

I'll add other points here, in the future.
In the meanwhile feel free to reply.
Anyhow, any unuseful/spamming/offensive reply in this thread will be deleted with no warning nor explenation.

Charas has seen his better days. Let's just hope that it's going to be more fun from now.

Apperently Mods equel Leauitanants(sp?) and Admins Generals. Users are just infantry. But it depends on how long you've been here. You are a new recruit, I am soldier and for example Ghostclown is a veteran.

Justice has been served.  And by the way, this doesn't sound like the usual Alex, but in times like these, he has to sound different I guess...

One extra things, about forum cleaning.
N.B.: done by myself WITHOUT asking confirmation to anyone.

- "The Final RPG Team" board is now deleted.
It did not wirk at all, evenif some good ideas was posted there
Sorry for the "ideas", but the project was really discontinued. No reasons to keep it alive.

And about Kawaai's question: that google search was only to identify better who we're talking about. That only was a referer page into his records. Nothing more than a "Yet Another Example".

I like this system much better, even if I am warned.  Didn't really do anything wrong except those few posts I had when I first joined..

Anyway.  Sometimes, even the greatest sites need a point where rules are enforced.  People may/will not like it, but it's necessary so things like what happened don't occur again.

hm...this seams best, although, saying that raffles knew it it would be his last day is like saying he had some terminal illness or something. maybe i should go back to the way i was with editing and story writing.

 And the Creator has spoken.
 I couldn't help myself.

I'll stay here, anyways, to tell the truth, I bet I'll only stop posting here when:

 A - I die.
 B - My computer dies.
 C - I get banned
D - My computer gets banned (from my house)
E - All of above at the same time.

And I don't know if I should be happy or sad. There'll be a lot of changes, and thats sad, it doesn't matter what changes.
But then, again, the changes are (hopefully) better, whats good, even if sad.

Oookay, Raffles is gone, for some reason I aways though when this happened, I would yell "PARTY!!!!", but no. Strange, huh? After all, I won't say I didn't like to debate with him, he was childish, annoying, but still was a good challenge to win in a debate, what is good, I love to debate and I love challenges.

........PARTY!!!

Well, thanks and not thanks at the same time, Alex.
Thanks for throwing Raffles outta here,
and not thanks because, he aways said this wasn't a democracy, and blah-blah-blah, turning this in a non-democracy is doing what he wanted..... in a way.
But this is better, I say.
