Ive been playing a few games 15 and 18+ since I was twelve, has never changed anything in my life. I don´t think games influence can change you that much into actually doing those things, or things even close to that. I bet that kid didnt walk around with an SMG in the middle of a mall trying to "cap" those neggro´s over there and beat down policemen with baseballbats.  

My opinion is that the parents are only going way over their heads, poking their ignorant overprotective fingers into something they shouldnt.

The code for the sex minigame was left in all the copies of San Andreas, but was disabled. Someone found it, enabled it, and, for entertainment, added naked skins. The original just had them in skimpy outfits, while CJ stays fully clothed. No actual nudity was in the original.

There will never be a time when someone doesn't oppose something. I'm sure people in the past have gone against Scooby Doo because of the suggestiveness about a hippy, a nerd, two popular kids all talking to their dog and driving around the country in a beat up van, saying that the show provotes drugs or something, but when was the last time you actually thought of drugs when you watched Scooby Doo?

Misinformation will always exist. The news reports incompletely about what you must do to unlock the actual minigame. (On a console, you'd need a mod chip to unlock it [I believe, anyway], and thusly would already be well into the realms of illegality before watching some 3d characters take suggestive poses and make suggestive noises). This is the same news that says that all chat rooms contain people waiting to rape your children, and this is the same news that wastes it's time covering the trila of a man who can sing and dance well. Don't get so worked up about it.

Oh, and Leon, just because someone chases someone else down the street with a knife doesn't mean GTA is a horrible game.

Someone said something to me once before that I think can apply here. "Heavy Metal fans don't become Satanists, Satanists become Heavy Metal fans." The point is that kids who commit such crimes are probably relating to the materials, not being influenced by them.
The core issue is a crock anyway. This mod must bump it up from a, what? A 17 to an 18? The only people who really have a right to complain are the parents who bought the game for their 17 year old kid. Killing prostitutes, stealing cars and shooting cops is all merry fun for my child, but SEX?! HEAVENS FORBID.

And some ppl are sensitive too games like GTA.. Some ppl liek the P.I.M.P.S who goes down the street in a fancy car pulling out  gun and shoot the hell out of a biatch down the street. VG today affect children easily. Soon i will probably understand the 18 year mark on the games, why they are there and what the consequenses are if they arent followed. Lucky me that i aint easily affected by such things.... But once a kid killed his sister during a show of Power rangers... I mean some kids see them selves in the tv. They wanna be as them or as them in a game.. (damn look he has a gun, a fancy car, cool clothes and have THAT respect). Now i have too do the same... I will never be able too feel that feeling of doing the same as something in a VG. Must be scary for ppl who feels that...

Well, yeah like Osmose said, the content actually had to be hacked out, some nerds took broken data which wasn't supposed to be fixed, and they did, and they made it playable. It's only the PC version, and you can actually download the hack, it's called "Hot coffee." Rockstar, well aware that the crack had hit the Internet already; it couldn't be stopped. So they agreed to make it 'AO' rated.

And video games have nothing to do with violence that people decide to do. Someone can only assume that if they dig far too deep into a situation. And that can be any situation. And on the other hand that can be done with anything. "Oh no Jimmy read this violent book! And then killed someone twelve years later! It's all the book's fault."

nah.. Look, what i say is like some ppl have problems. And we dont, so we cant say how it is having a problem right?. And you are right aswell, games shall not be blamed or something like that.. Maybe they are born with a weak mind, maybe not. I dont know, and i would definitly dont wanna know how it feels too be this kind of "whatever we have came with" person.. The games have an minimum age of 18, then its up too the parents or the seller if the child is gonna have that game.

Its rated MA, for mature, over 17. That is not the buying age, its the playing age. Parents should at least know what a game is before they buy it. THe game consists of:

Car jacking
picking up hookers
killing pimps
beating the hell out of cops
raiding malls
and the main goal, Save the Hood.

A game about savein da hood is not something for kids. Paren't shouldn't be surprised some girl askes for coffe and you get nailed. plus, well, GTa is gay.
