Rappers
« on: September 04, 2005, 01:50:01 PM »
Are there any you like? If so, which and why?

Personally, I like the following:

Twista: Mainly because he raps like he's on fire. It goes just as fast as Burnout 3 and that's what I like.

K-Liber: Very good Dutch rappers(3) who make have good music and make good lyrics.

Insane Clown Posse: Mostly the violence and humor. Ies great!

Eminem: His raps are funny, sound great and actually mean something. Most notable: Mosh.

And last only in one song: Trick Daddy ft. Lil Jon & Twista. Song name is Let's Go. I mean, listen to it. This is what rap is supposed to sound like.

Heh, that's quite wrong. 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg and **** rappers like that are the same, but Eminem and ICP are way different.

I like Bone Thugs and Harmony, Talib Kweli, Jay-Z, Nas, Jadakiss, Styles P, Beanie Sigel, Kanye West, and both 2Pac and Biggie (R.I.P) all mainly because they have their own sound and their lyrics are from the heart.

I used to like ICP when I was a freshman in high school, but I sold his CD's on ebay not long after. If it were any rapper, it would most likely be Eminem. Most rappers would say "If you were a TRUE rapper, you wouldn't like eminem", well, I'm not a TRUE rapper.

Don't really care for rap/hip-hop. As a friend put it; "it's jsut a bunch of random words screamed into a microphone with crappy music playing in the background". Of course, that pretty much sums up any music today.

I dont really like rap either.  No offence to anyone who likes it, but my friend says rap stands for:
Retards
Attempting
Poetry

In otherwords, just not my style.

There once was a time when rap seemed to mean something, like poetry to music, now it just seems to much like "Check out my bling, check out mah b itches

I don't really like most rap, but i quite like Eminem. His rap varies alot, from funny to deadly serious, and It's all good.

I can't believe you think Eminem's lyrics MEAN SOMETHING.
Awful. You can get twice as much meaning on the same subject matter from watching Anchorman.

I do like some rap, Ice Cube is a guy who's lyrics mean something.
I also like Lil' Jon and the Eastside Boyz.. because nigga is a funny word.
