The spikey hair is only written out because of how RM2k3 makes ppl look due to size restrictions.

...What? Does not compute! *head a splode*

Everyone looks to have spikey hair in RM2k3. Go look. Unless, of course, I want a bland looking-character... I bet your game has characters with spikey hair.

Good Job! Characters that aren't spikey on top! At least you're different. But they don't look above par. Don't take it the wrong way.

Wait a minute... this is getting a little off into a criticize my first draft... Which is fine. I need some criticism. It helps me think better.

Yeah, cuase, you know, adventures only happen to people with flashy clothes, shiney weapons, and spikey hair.

Oh, you bet! But a new attempt might do something. Good story is what really sells a game, so I guess you plan on a great story. The flashy characters are a crutch that most people need, even me. I'm glad to see some people can get above it all.

Oh, as for the no injuries part, I plan on making it an interactive cutscenes with battles and stuff. If not, the character will get hurt. He does get hurt alot in the game so far... and no robotic arm. The game takes place in a time where that doesn't exist... yet... The injuries were suggested with the cuts, rips, and blood on his clothes.

Well the story isn't everything, the quality of a game also depends on character personality. You can take an average story and turn it into something amazing if you can give the characters great depth, and you dont even have to use the spikey-haired, flashy clothed hook.

I consider character development part of story for some reason. Alos, I'm glad the tension is clearing up into a civil conversation.

Ok.... Spiky hair are the only cool guys!?

Give me a break, look at Cloud. Look at Crono. They were in great games, but were suck *** characters. Or how about DBZ? That anime got tiresome souly because everyone had the same damn hair. In fact, I think the only cool spike hair guy I know of would have to be RYU from street fighter, and that's because... well... at least he doesn't look like a sissy from the FF series, like Cloud, Wakka, and that Zeak or whatever guy from FF8.

Look, I don't really care what my characters look like, I just make them on a whim and hope they look good. He looked good enough, so I kept him. End of the  "why spikey hair?" story. Plus, most RPGs these days have a distinctly anime character design style. Plus, I liked those characters in those games. And cartoons. Well, most of them. And I believe his name was Zell. But I didn't like him.

But maybe you should opt for originality?

Hmmm, Just to show off, look at this. This is a section from the second major fight seen I put in my book/game. Notice how mindblowingly cliche it is, though well writen. Also, just as for warning, do not use this in any way. After creating over 90 pages in typing, I had it patented for safty reasons. If I ever see this in anything, I will sue, however small it might be. I don't mind if you take the same ideas, but you my not use the same words as I have put below.

A wind blew by Matt, brushing the hair from his eyes and cooling him down, even going as far as to take away the sweat of his face as it flew by. It swirled around, picking up things as the whirls of wind circled around the assassin. Like a funnel, the wind blew faster, picking up bodies and weapons that lie on the ground near Matt’s feet. A tornado formed, but Matt stood, waiting for the next move. He didn’t have to wait long.
‘Sounds of metal hitting metal, steel beating floor, and walls being punished by tip of iron’
The weapons in the whirl, some spear and some sword, two even being the knives that Matt threw, the same ones that dug deep into the heads of Iron Soldiers, swung around in the wind in attempts to run the assassin through. Matt dodged some, and then picked up a flying spear that had come from a broken stone statue, and picked up another two items, the sword that had been broken by his arm guards, the same one he started this battle with. He slashed up with the spear; reaching out and cutting open the water pipes above his head. He slashed again, cutting off another part of the pipe revealing more water, making it flow out even faster as the pipe that he cut off fell into the winds around him and was carried off. The water was sucked into the winds, making it rain on the insides to say. But Matt wanted this; he now had water to use at his disposal, more then just the water in a moist air. He hurled the water in, controlling it like all water Magi could. More swords feel down, one nearly catching Matt’s head in a thrust, but Matt never moved, just let the liquid come to him till he made a great ball large enough for his plan. Within just seconds, the water had been condensed enough to the master’s wishes, and he let go part of the aqua, choosing its movement with his powers. The first ball of water shot forward like a bullet, missing the Guardian slightly. The second one missed him completely, and the third went between his legs. But the forth, that hit him square. The Guardian saw it. He hadn’t the time to jump or dodge, but to block. The water hit his arm guards with immense force, blowing him back steps but not breaking the guard. But the water didn’t stop. So great was the speed it was going at, that the water spilt into millions of smaller drops when it hit the guards, some cutting snags into the clothing of the Guardian’s suit, others going to his side, and one shooting up to his face, leaving a scratch right across the right nostril to the check. The water attack stopped, Matt had other plans. The water he shot, though not destroying the arm guards, left cracks and chips in it, making it less stable then before. Matt held up his old, broken sword with one hand, and made a ball of fire with the other. The wind blew out his first flame, but the second flare lasted long enough for his second plan of action. He heated the flare till it was hot enough to melt steel in an instant, and put in both pieces of his broken sword, effectively melting/mending it and putting it back together. He weld the sword in his hands, rushed out of the small storm and went straight to the Guardian. The Guardian was baffled that he had his sword back, but had no time let the puzzlement consume him. He dashed forward, putting up the hand with the cracked arm guard to stop the blade. Matt foresaw this. He smiled as his sword fell on the arm guard, splitting through it in the cracked region and slicing off the right hand of the Guardian.
