Can anyone tell me which guy from history predicted that mankind would once fly in metal birds and that WWIV shall be fought with ancient weapons?

yes, it was nostradamus. as Zerlin said, I don't know about the ww4 either, but he said that one day humans would travel in metal birds. He also prophesied the world woyuld cmoe to an end, but so did the Ancient Pyramid of Giza, and so far both object/person's predictions have been right, (except some of Nostradamus' predictions) so one wil have to be wrong, unless they have a different meaning of world. The pyramid of Giza predicted ,I think, WW1, but it might have been WW2, and a whole bunch of ohter important events that happened.

Wasn't there someone that predicted that something like what happened at 9/11 would happen?

I remember hearing something about that, but I've also heard that such predictions are often so vague that it could mean lots of things.

FFL - That was Nostradamus as well, who predicted 9/11.

I don't know about him, though. A lot of his predictions were right, but that doesn't automatically mean every person, place or thing that predicts a future event is always right. I believe that what happens happens for a reason, and we can't do anything about it either way. But that gets more into how Time works and such, and that's a discussion for a different thread.

In all honesty, his predictions don't come out and say "This shall happen". People spend years trying to read what they want to read out of his writings. He was a crackpot, that  is that.

But yes, it was Nostradamus.

That is not that, this is a complicated matter.
About half of his predictions have come true, not interpretations of his predictions.

I was watching something like this on the history chanel the other day.  After flipping a word around and switching two letters, the word hilter was spelled (or some persons name). Some other words were scrambled backwards in a word search type of thing.

Most of the time these profecies are vague, and people turn them into whatever they want.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN
