Why would I do that?
(The correct answer to why you can't see your feet in an FPS, by the way, is because the main character is always standing straight up with his gun pointed out. >_>)

Because Friday, Saturday, and Sunday don't last for very long at all, so Monday and Tuesday have to pick up the slack. If they didn't, the entire time stream would becoime unstable, eventually causing the end of the world.
