Kaja wasn't the last boss in FF9.It was that big guy that came out of no where. But FF9 did have a good stroy you must say.The best thing about FF7 is the Battle thingy. It's better than FF8's which didn't have a good Battle thingy.

Final Fantasy IX would possibly be my best FF I've played apart from FF2 right now...only it's annoying that I have to equip gems to summon though.

Yes but you don't have to keep the gems after you've learned the skill. But wasn't wroth it once you can summon all those summons?

Meh, kuja is the bad guy you meet throughout the whole game. I don't count the guys that you never hear about, and all of the sudden are fighting them in the last battle :p

What do you mean about 'battle thingy'?

Well, I personally liked FF8s story. For me it took a little bit to figure out what was going on, then I had to get it explained at a forum where I finally somewhat understood (i need to play it again) what was going on. I kind of like those kind of stories that require some time to realize the depth of plot.

FF7 is a nice story, the characters are very well developed, but I feel like I'm just doing busy work and, yes, following Sephiroth around.

Town A: We have to find sepheroth. *go to nearest town*
Town B, NPC1: You just missed a guy in a black cape. He went THAT-A-WAY *points to Town C*
Town C, Inn NPC: Yeah, I saw a guy with a black cape. You just missed him. He went to TOWN D saying something about REUNION.

Ohh, while we're on the subject of FF7, for those who have seen Advent Children, here is a nifty diagram of Cloud's sword:

I played FF7 all the way through once. I never owned a PlayStation so I played it on a friend's. It was okay. I can understand the hype. Despite being dated, the graphics are aeons above anything that had been previously seen in RPGs. The Materia system is also pretty interesting. And it's modern, which I really didn't care for, but some parts were done very well (i.e. the entire opening in Midgar.)

I really disliked the entire cast though. Cloud is a psycopathic liar. Sephiroth is a self-dillusional maniac. Aeris is so sweet as to be totally unbelievable. Barret REALLY cares about the Planet, which is why he swears constantly around anyone, including small children. Yuffie and Vincent got so little screentime as to not be worth mentioning. Red XIII is the typical very boring nonhuman that has a connection with the earth.  Tifa actually had some potential, having a touching past with Cloud, but let's face it, she's a whore. The only one I didn't DISLIKE was Cid, who wanted to go into space, couldn't, and was bitter about it. Pretty realistic guy. Very unimportant to the plot though.

The last half of the plot made no sense at all. Come to think of it, the first half was pretty sketchy too. Who Sephiroth is and how he's going to acomplish what he wants to do is needlessly drawn out and absurd. In the second half SHINRA comes up with a plan to save the world. 1) blow up the Meteor with a rocket. 2) shoot off Sephiroth's dome with a big laser. For reasons that STILL BOGGLE ME, Cloud's party disables the rocket that's going to impact the meteor. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU IDIOTS?! They went after the laser too, but SHINRA was smart enough to see them coming and fire it before they could get there.

Bottom line, I didn't like the story and I didn't like the cast. Some of the minigames were pretty fun though. It's not a game I would have called a classic, but I'm not a rampaging mob of fanboys, so oh well.

Well, this pretty much shows that you have to play it again, cause either you donīt remember a thing about it, or you didnīt understand the game.

The first too battles were easy for me, and the one with Seymour Flux was a big step up. I didn't really mind, but it made him unbalanced when one minute he was easy and the next he is impossibly hard.

Is Flux the one on Gagazet? Cause when I first got up to him BLAU árse kicked.
And then again, and again, and again.
I decided maybe it was the time to level up.

FF7 was a great game... I got it last summer and beat it like 3 times.
I was too lazy to kill the weapons though...

FF8 was my first and favorite (before I got 7) but they just kinda spring ultimecia on you... Still fun yet horrendousley easy.

FFX-2... *shakes head* you dissapoint me SE never make another sequel as long as you live!

FF3 (the real one) I think was one of the best too.

FF9 I liked... but after playing about 30 minutes I'd get tired and search for a save point. Then come back a week later.

I hope FF12 will be good

Strongest stroy: FFT
Replay Value: FF7
Worst: FFX-2

So true, I need to get to know FF7 so much better. Just beating down Sephiroth's spirit isn't enough.. Still More Fighting doesn't really attract me to it though..

FFX-2 wasn't really bad in an overall game. But it being a sequel adds 75% of the bad rating to it. I liked FFX-2. Though, the last part got a little bit crazy.

1:It was just too..lighthearted for me
2:Changed victory fanfare
3:What the heck was brother doing the whole time?!
4:They ruined blitzball
5:I thought the story was rather weak and SE was just trying to score an easy dollar.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I like dark and sinister games. I hate these games where everyone is happy all of the time.. I crave that sense of depression and "Oh my god! W'ell never make it out alive!"

I could goto any game store and see about 10 copies of FFX-2 on their used shef.
