A question about battle backgrounds
« on: November 13, 2005, 06:04:00 PM »
I was wondering how i could make a moving battle background, like a speed effect on an airship (something i want to use on a final boss maybe). Is there some way to make that thing? I heard there is a way if i use frames, but i dont understood it very much T_T

Thanks for ur help (forgive my bad english xDD)

Yes, there is a way to do that.

First, import your battle background as a Frame. Then, open the Database, and go into Terrain. Above the background, there's two options: Background and Frame. Click Frame, then choose the background you want with the Set button on the right of the background. Beneath the Set button, there's Horizontal (left and right) and Vertical (up and down) check boxes. Click those, then play around with the numnbers to see what you get.

And Bluhman, don't make me delete your post. I'm just itching to use my new powers :)

Easily. Go into the Tileset section of the Database, select the chipset that you want to modify, click the Terrain button, select the desired terrain, then click the tile that you want to have that terrain.

In the database in the Tileset tab, on the right it says "Defined Terrain Types".
If you want to for example, change some tiles to the Swamp terrain, click on Swamp and then click on the tiles that you want to be that terrain.

EDIT: Damn you Warxe, you beat me! >_<
