That sounds like "Ok I copied. If I say, ouch I hurt my foot, DB you're credits will be in MY game whenever you help me code, or not, because I want to use your dragon charas if it's ok." Hence, what did you copy?

Here's a hint: Voice-actors are strictly for experienced RMers. I don't mean that as an insult - I don't consider myself good enough for voice-overs yet.

If you want to make your game more unique, first work on your plot. Keep tweaking little bits of it until it gets to perfection. Don't worry about a cliche or two. Good games have to have cliche, just not too much. Like food with salt. A little here and there in the right places works wonders, but too much can ruin the whole thing.

Then, go on to looking at some simple quirks. Something like a simple CMS or some nice custom sprites can make your game very popular. Only do them if you know you're ready; nothing looks worse than a half-finished, crippled Menu where most of the features are "disabled" because you have no idea how to make them. ;)

A hint for mapping: Get some good chipsets, and use the same style for the whole game. Mix-and-matched styles of map look awful. If you like Mack-and-Blue, stick with it for the whole thing. When actually mapping, take your time to finish maps. I tend to take around 30 minutes upwards to finish an important map, and 20-30 minutes for a less important one. Be proud! If you like a map, post a screenshot, so everyone else can enjoy it too! ;)

(By the way, good name. Nice and memorable, but mysterious all the same. Good choice. :))

You are clearly new at making games. Just like Dragonium said with the voice actors, ABS or CBS games should not be attempted unless you have prior experience. As to the coding, all you gotta do is set it to where if your sword's X and Y = enemy X and Y, it hurts them. Then, when they are out of the hp varible, kills them.

ive made many games but this is my first game that must have ABS. ive gone thru totorials and stuff but coding isent my thing... im not sitting here to listen how low skilled i am im here asking for help and awansering questions...

the endning: after a long way thru the Damon lands and forst u will finally find Hernadez castle. inside are his worst troops and some mini bosses... it a tower (cliched i know) high up and on the top u meet hernadez, with the power of all the orbs in your sword u point the sword to his face and say ''its over'' Hernadez smiles and calles his troops.. but noone comes.. they look out of the window and c how the army of the species u helped are battleing thousends of his demons... then ur battle begins... after you defeated him he says ''u will die with me!'' and push a button and the tower is about to collaps (WAAAY cliched i know) then u have to get out as fast as u can... *** ur out u will c the leaders of each races talk some stuff about unuting them again and blah blah.. during the credits u will c thir big freedom party in the human capital city Kalvika, and then somepictures from all the placs u been in... thats it! :bend:

I use voice actors for battles, I really think it adds to the game. However, I would highly recommend not voice acting regular dialogue, it takes up a ton of space, and unless you have really good voice actors (profesionals - so probably not anyone here - no offence :(), it can ruin the game. Even commercial games with paid voice actors can be downgraded just by a few of the actors not being so good. Anyway, if you're using an ABS, I suggest voice acting the main character yourself, an attacking sound, a sound for each skill, a sound for dying, and a sound for being hit. Normally in ABS games theres only one hero, so you probably don't have to worry about the characters not in combat, it depends how your game is set up though. All you need for it is a microphone, hook it up to your computer, click on Start, all programs, accessories, entertainment, sound recorder.

As for the ABS, PM me with any questions on how to code it and I'll write you some tutorials. But I need to know the specific thing you want to do, example: displaying hp on the map, how to give monsters stats, how to take damage away from monsters when you attack them, and stuff like that.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

Dude, thats a pretty lame statement. By telling the ending, he can get feedback on it. Feedback is good for a game. So actually, he cares enough about his game to give out the ending in order to make it better.

Besides, its not like he just told everyone, you pushed for him to tell you. The least you can do is give him feedback and constructive critisism on it.

I suppose you're right.

Though I don't know how I could critique that ending... It's rather cliche already, and... that's about all I have to say.
