I won't do it then. I don't have the time to make great maps that I won't/can't use.

you could make it for your game, but not have it already made is what I think he meant.

Yeah, blaze got what I meant. Basically, if you're doing a contest you should have to do something totally new, not almost done, hardly done, etc. Completely nothing, starting from step 1. You do it in regular contests outside of the internet right? In a pie eating contest, you can't start with an already half eaten pie to win, you have to start with a full pie. Just an example, but sure you can use the map in your game after it's done in the contest, we don't have any say in what you do or don't use.

Hahah, Ace is so right. But if you wish you could start already now, because that's what I just did.
And sure, Meiscool.. We can have a flying island, but then you'll have to share the chippy. ^_^'
I'll put up all the rules in the next thread.

Robotam, what about the RPG Maker versions? Any version can compete (2000, XP, etc...)

Ace, since you say you won't do any mappies for the contest... Maybe we could have you as our official judge? We'd need more than one of course, but it's a start, right? Because when I think about it, voting would probably not work.

I'll give you all the categories:
-Forests
-Villages
-Mountains
-Inners
-Dungeons
-Beaches
-Worldmaps
-Flying Islands
-Castles

Each category will have a winner, and it will be the judges job to choose which one. And then when each category has it's winner (Some may be without) the judges will make the final decision which ones are the third, the second and the best map maker of charas. So I suggest everyone submit a map in as many categories as possible, I know I will.
And don't worry, you'll have a lot of time so there's no need for any rush.
What do you think?

Oh, yes. Thanks Almeidaboo..
Forgot to mention, 2000 and 2003 only!
And it must be RPG Maker as well. I'd also suggest not using RTP, judges may not like that. `XP

Awww...Well, I´ll see what I can do, but I´d be more excited if XP was included...Still, I understand it´s much more "possible" without XP in it...

Another question...how do we send it to you? Gameplay screenshot? Or a screenshot of the program open (sounds silly to me doing it like this)?
