I wrote this song and played piano and bass on it. Mr friend did the guitar. Tell me what you think.

Sounds good in the begining... but seems to get jumbled and weird 50 seconds in. It goes faster, then suddenly stops, then goes a ton faster again, and changes speed to much like that.

Basically, I like the tune to it, but it's to mixed up on speed of the music.

Stellar! ^_^
I loved it, great use of tempo changing throughout the whole song.

Very impressive charaman.

pretty could, and as a music producer myself, it really moves and transfers tempo well.

I liked it alot, although I agree that you could have the tempo changes slightly better.

Thanks for all of the great feedback. It means a lot.

A Warm Place

This is a cover of a Nine inch nails song, with my own spin to it. I did it as a last for 2005.

note: you can hear all of my previously recorded music at marchofthepigs.com. That is, all that I've made public. I have plenty of songs that I am not ready to share yet.

This song pretty much made itself into what it is: an arabian-sounding song about a drug-addict midget. Eh. Say what you will. It was fun to play. I improvised everything beyond the first 2 measures.

I liked the first one, the second was okay. The third one was a little random and annoying in my point. But still a nice job, especially since you played them and didn't just make.

I think making them is much harder.

It's very good, but here come the comments ^^.

The guitar and piano seem to be playing in different tempos at some parts (different from each other), and it is not just dotted notes, or notes on the off-beats, it's completely different tempos. Accelerando is nice at first, but the wonky tempo just isn't to my taste. The accelerando around 2:40 is a bit abrupt, you might try to ease into that by extending the time in which you have to achieve the needed tempo. Toward the end the bass is out of tune.

Also, the piano's a bit syllabic, you might try for more dynamics.
Have you considered changing the bass part to a violin or viola? Or arranging in a flute? That might sound nice.

That sounds mean, but it's not a negative opinion I have. Good work ^^.
