RPGM2k or RPGM2k3?
« on: February 02, 2006, 01:59:30 AM »
Uh...I have a few beefs with RPGmaker 2000.
1. Music sometimes comes only in piano instrument
2. Squashed-together font
3. When importing some resources, the color on the object is deleted, not the one in the background.
4. It doesn't make any peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches.

Now, I've been hearing some things about RPG maker 2003. Is it better? Worse? Tougher to use? Easier? Does it make sandwiches, and remembers to cut the crusts? (joke!)

Okay, forget the sandwiches! A few other burning questions about it is, the battle system--I hear it's like 'Earthbound's, or 'Dragon Warrior', where you can only see the enemy, but not the characters. Is it true?
Also, can you put MP3 music in it? The midi version of 'One-Winged Angel' just isn't doing it for me....

Um...let's see...if any of this can be solved without downloading RPG Maker 2003? If so, how do I do it? Also, if I 'do' have to download RPG Maker 2k3, where can I find it?
PS: If any explanations are going to be done, would it be too much to ask if they were highly simplified? And nevermind the PBJ sandwiches--that was a bit of Solar Knight humor.

2k3 is an upgrade. The fact that you can come up with 3 reasons it's a grade up is the most underwhelming thing I've heard in weeks.

No no no, it's illegeal for us to give him the site to download RPG2K3, but he's allowed to post this. I'm 86% percent sure I'm right.

I'm pretty sure it's only that we can't post links to rm2k/3/xp. just google it, not too tough. And no, PMing is not allowed either.

Well, for starters, rm2k3 allows MP3s, will not damage MIDI Files, has a second size for Battle Animations, the monsters max HP is now 99,999, there are more switches and variables available(I think), and so on.

As for the DBS, it is more like FF Style.

Did I miss anything?
