Right click it, cut it, paste it to another map, play, cut from that map, and paste it back to it's original place.

Yeah do that.

Usually if its a parallel process event and I don't want to have it run while I play, I just change it from parallel process to 'action key'. Though if its an actual event, you would probably have to move it to another map like meiscool said.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

I appreciate how people here  always help me here :)
but perhaps I should of elaberated more.. like this:

so when its done, they event stops then starts over the next time you enter the map, (so it cuts down on switches).

;)

(I dunno why its shrinking, just right click, then click view image ;))

There's a command in the menu of event commands called "Erase Event." That's what you're looking for.

do you mean like an event command? So like the event gets "deleted" until the player returns to the map? If so, then it's called "Erase Event". I know rm2k3 has it on the 3rd page, 2 nd column. It may be different on yours, but I doubt it is. Anyways, "Erase Event" has that effect. Hope that helps.

is it under "call event..."

or why dont you have the event triggered by a switch sp it works when its turned on, when u change to another room switch it off, and when you teleport back in turn the switch on

The RM2K equivalent would be "Stop Parallel Events".

I used to have that messed-up translation

It's Clear Timer.

Don't question the choice of the event command name.  It doesn't make sense.
