Blobagotchi Advanced - New Progress Thread
« on: March 05, 2006, 08:04:09 AM »
Hi, you remember me from before, now since this place has that image restriction thing, I will link to the whole thing...

Out with the old and in with the new, Blobagotchi Advanced has evolved graphically and I have Dragon Emperor to thank for that.
Okay enough with the life story, here it is, after months of doing nothing I finally decided to begin work on it again.
We'll start with a brief summary of what has been made shall we?

Life starts with an egg, there are 7 different blobs that can hatch and each one has their own unique abilities and behaviours.
I havent coded behaviours yet but I will get to it.

Very original. I've never seen one of those made with RPG Maker. However, I'm not into those kinds of games.

Looks well made, but also looks highly boring.

I played the demo of the lesser-graphics version and there was lag when the menu was at the top (as opposed to when you're controlling the blob).  Fix that.

It was cool.  Thumbs up for thinking outside the box.

Aye. There's a reason they made Tamagotchis handheld.

Well, I love the graphics. And if you're imaginative enough you could do alot with this.

I have a suggestion.

Find a patch called RPG MakerLIVE and attach it.

When your done, export it, and hit LIVE it.

This will allow your game to be packaged into a single .EXE file, so you can put it up on a website.

I have it, yet haven't been able to LIVE anything yet.

If you make it online, and find some way to get other players to communicate, then it will be very playable.

(I've seen this done before, and it works. Whether you will find the patch is another matter, as it has also been banned to English RPG Makers.)

I should probably say that Blobagotchi is going to be a fast paced game, a blob can get hungry within a matter of about a minute or so, with other events such as raining and toilet issues in between, I plan on making it similar to pokemon, where you go to different locations, do different tasks, etc.

Pokemon en? Will your blobs be able to fight to the death, because that would be cool.
