K, I remember this and I know where you are now. :P You have to go to the snowy continent up north. Go thru the areas of that one city you see there (*You should've seen like a cut scene with Kuja walking by with all these Black mages.) Afterwards you reach a moogle (female) in the city and if I remember correctly you make a right at the moogle straight to the entrance of mount Gulug. (Which I think shows another cut scene with Kuja opening the door to mount Gulug.) NOTE: Remember to open all chests and whatnot there because that is the only time you go in.

That's what's weird, I know there is that scene with Kuja and the BM's, 'cause I remember playing that far on the game before, but the scene just doesn't happens!

You probably already seen it before and saved the game. Did you try talking to other NPCs within the vincinity of that scene? I remember talking to someone and they had something valuable. Not sure if it was valuable info, or valuable weapons that's like a must get at the level. lol

Wait! I know where you are now! Did you ever go to Kujas Sand Palace? I remember there being scene with Cid and some small monster and youre cid trying to get past him. The Sand palace is located somewhere on the forgotten continent with alot of sand NOTE: and I whirlwind also If I remember. I thought this up because Cid was also with you on the ship and Daggers voice was still on mute.

Dammit, I have to play FF9 again now because of you people. I replayed all the other FF's recently, that one was next on my list.

Honestly, I can't think of many games that were hard for me. I beat all the weapons if FF7, same for 8, my next goal is to kill that one tough dude in 9. The normal mode in SO3 was way too easy, I beat the final boss in that game in a few minutes, none of my chars really lost any life... I have to play that in the harder mode next time.

You know what a really hard rpg was? FF1, if you ever play the normal version of that game, its hard. You can hardly cure your  guys, and you fight a ton of monsters every two steps.

It seems that the newer games are shorter and easier now. I'm sure they're shorter because with all the advanced graphics and stuff the game takes longer to make, and the longer it takes to make a game, the more it costs. I think they're getting easier because of all the gamers out there that complain games are too hard :(

You know what game is REALLY hard. I of the Dragon. So you're a dragon and you fly around and blow up things and build towns and such (figures I'd play such a game). Anyway, you have to clear out areas to build a town otherwise it'd get demolished, so you clear everything out for everything in the area, you can't do the whole course because the enemy lairs regenerate after some time if there isnt a town around. Anyway, then when you do build a town, every monster on the map converges on the town and blows it up. Theres these little bug twerps that take away a third of your life per attack, well theres like 20 of them, and they shoot really fast. Then theres about 10 creeps that have a lot of life and poison you, then theres the other monsters that stay really far away and bombard the town before you can even build up its defences. Oh, then the last boss shot balls of fire at you that followed you around, 3 hits and you were dead. I bombarded it with my strongest attacks, not even a dent, plus he healed himself all the time. Finally after a couple of hours I got him half way dead, I said screw it and I built up a small wall of people as a distraction, then super charged my character for about 30 seconds, and just let it all out. All that for a crappy ending...

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

I bought Dragon Quest (one of it), but didn't seem the kind of game I'd like. And I bet it would be way shorter if you had to press X to pick up things, not to open an meny where you can choose actions.

Actually Cid doesnt make his first airship until he becomes Human again (Sorry if that was a spoiler.) Remember Cid is still a Frog during the whole Kuja Sand Castle incident. He also stated to himself that he wont build another airship until he becomes human again because his frog body cant stand the hardship it takes to build one. Its possible to reach there by Brahne's ship. Stating exactly HOW to get there is another problem. (I forgot the directions lol)

Star Ocean was nnot hard at all. If you just train and never run from a fight then there's a high chance you'll always win.. That's why I loved Alundra. You can only train to a cetain point and once you reach that point you just have to use pure skills to kill a boss.

A long Tatic game would be

Tactic Ogre: Let us all cling together for Psone.
Very run detailed game. With different endings and such.
Has anyone noticed that most of the games talked about on Charas are old school games? (new games blow)

Star Ocean till the end of time too me a good 100 hours to master the game on normal mode...Hard to beat no..Hard to beat the extras after you beat the game... Yeah!!!!

Took me a month to beat Lenneth from Valkier Profile on Sphere 211 after you beat the game... And I was max level for all my characters...

Then after that, Fraya, the final boss oh the extras...She has over 2 million hp and even with all the attack power I could get ..I could never beat her within 15 minutes as I get a battle trophie, but it took me a good hour each battle to take her out, plus it doesnt help with her evil Ether Strike that takes entire field and anyone under 5k defense dies..

Yeah that game was hard and did piss me off at times. Did you ever get Cloud on your team? I got him without looking up how to get him running around looking for extra characters and doing all the jobs and trying to learn every class.
If you didn't get him.. don't bother.. he's weak as hell he's not even worth training to get his final attack, Cherry Blossom, it's weak and sad.
Orlandu would own Cloud in a one on one. The final boss was a bit too easy but with members like Orlandu and Agrias on your team. You can't lose. The ending made me laugh.
