It took me over a year to beat the original Final Fantasy Adventure. Sword of Mana, the gba remake? 2 weeks to get to the final boss, beat him the next day. The gameplay time was maybe 22 hours.

Yeah...  Sword of Mana was WAY too easy. :( I was able to kill several bosses in a few seconds. Literally. I like FFA a lot more than Sword of Mana.

Why are games getting shorter and shorter? Because there ain't enough space on that lil' disc for a 10-hour game AND ZOMG MY EYES graphics.

Man with blu ray comming out for the ps3 there's no reason why games should be pretty damn long. Right now they are working on 100GB disc.. THAT'S ****ing HUUUUUUUGE. Game prices will be crazy if game disc ever got that big.

Video games used to be just for nerds, now everyone dabbles in the medium. Small games mean more efficient dabbling. So maybe that plays a part.
But yeah, it's probably over-compensating with graphics.
It's like what my mum used to tell my sister:
"It doesn't matter how sexy it looks.
If it can't keep up with you, it's not worth it."

Hah.

My family are HARCORE gamers. I think.

No, no. Because then you will end up with photorealistic Final Fantasy Pong.

Actually Cid doesnt make his first airship until he becomes Human again (Sorry if that was a spoiler.) Remember Cid is still a Frog during the whole Kuja Sand Castle incident. He also stated to himself that he wont build another airship until he becomes human again because his frog body cant stand the hardship it takes to build one. Its possible to reach there by Brahne's ship. Stating exactly HOW to get there is another problem. (I forgot the directions lol)

Yes, everything is clear for me now! I salute you, my fellow who has a better memory time than I. :bend:

Mosnter only get stronge if you do, so if you train, you'r amking strnger monsters, which have the advantage of not needing any weapon like you do.

And voice, I think voices also aren't that much needed, but then again, Brave Fencer Musashi had voices and still was long and fun to play.

That's, my friend, is because you have no strategy whatsoever.

 Tips:
-Thiefs are quick, and that's about it, don't try to steal things in the middle of the battle. Kill everyone but one, use your magic to slow him down, and make a thief keep stealing him, it's far better.
-Monks doesn't need any weapon. And most Monk magic doesn't work on another Monk.
-When dealing with Holy Knights (Delita, Agrias, etc.) destroy thei'r swords, and they can't cast magic.
-A great combo is casting Zombie with your Oracle and using Mustadio's Seal Evil

There's really more things, but I'm not int he mood of writing. And some of those are pretty obvious.

And I have an problem, it doesn't matter how much I try, I can't learn the final summoning.

Well not all the battles where hard. But some mostly Boss battles
where hard.Of then again I would turn it off if one of my guys died
(Counter went to zero) and I only had five men in the party. Becuase I didn't like to train all my men and keep them at the same level and all. Also I used Ninjas becuase there fast and use two weapons without the skill.Plus there so feaking coool!!

Another example would be Oddworld.

Oddworld: Abe's Odysee, the game is very entertaining and very addicting, it took me a month to beat it. Then, once you beat the game, you get the sudden urger to play it again and save every mudokon along the way. A great game.

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, also very entertaining. However, too easy. It only took me four hours to beat it. There's nothing to save, just you going around collecting bounty, big whoop. too eaqsy.

Okay, I didn't have enough time to read the whole topic... it is possible that what I'll write has already been said...
The Legend of Zelda : A Link to the past. This is the Zelda game with the most dungeon. 3 pendants, 7 crystals, Hyrule Castle and Ganon Castle. 12 dungeons... how many dungeon does Majora's mask, Windwaker and Minish Cap have? I don't know, but I think it's below 8, wich is the number of dungeons most Zelda have. I hope Twilight Princess will have at least 8 dungeon...

I bought Tales of Legendia yesterday, and it's only estimated at 70 hours. Its the graphics, and sound takin up too much space. With lesser graphics, they could fit more game play. Another thing is, the quicker they can finish the game, the more money it can make over time.

Ahem, Metal Gear Solid without voices? God of War without voices? Resident ****ing Evil without ****ing voices!? But I can agree on games like Crash Bandicoot, RPGs, Spyro, racing games and sport games.
