I've got a suggestion, why not have a banner's contest? You could hold it like every six months or something.. In a way that could kill to birds with one stone, you get a new banner and ppl are active. There are other ideas...best story, smiley, sig, avatar, character set, drawing, ect...just throwing them out there lol.

That is actually a pretty good idea. I like it and it does eleminate that concern.

I can't change the banner; it's not within my powers in the control panel. That's why nothing happened last time... in addition to the big contraversy of "characters or no character". But if, somehow, we can mostly agree on a banner that we want to put up there, I'll hassle Alex until he changes it.

I still like the idea of rotating banners.
That way we can have like a million (read: ten or so at the most). One can have some really well drawn art of our favourite moderators (read: me) and stuff. I've got connections.

If you use the forum code for a link (URL enclosed in []s) then it appears fine.

And the banner looks nice as it is. You barely even look at it after your first visit.
