Hm... I have one more thing to say..

Anyone read the Da Vinci Code?

Well, you should. It makes you think about a lot of things. In that chain letter you called Tarot card reading, palm reading and other paganistic things Satanic. I beg to differ. In the Da Vinci Code, now I know this is just a book, but it suggests that Catholicism and Christianity are religions made tby man to gain power and to use the Pagan religion as something to be feared and that only the priest or pope can save you. It says a lot of things from which made me think, and it actually made sense. I beleive Jesus existed, but was he really gods son? Or a very smart, kind philosipher crucified for his beliefs? How can we know, it happened more than 2000 years ago. When they recorded things with animal skin's that decayed in less than a hundred years. If a group of people really wanted to, they could easily, back then, keep the facts they wanted and get rid of the others.

It's hard to explain, but if you read the Da Vinci Code, you'd get what I'm saying. My main point is, if you're truly a good person at heart and this god is so forgiving merciful. Why would he send you to forever burn in the pits of hell, just because you didn't go to church. The bible was written by man and not god. And then it was translated from an ancient language near forgotten. Religion seems more like man's creation than what a true god would actually want.

There's no way in hell that's good advice.

Good advice: Wear a hard hat on a construction site, as it can save your life.
Bad advice: LISTEN TO HEAVY METAL AND UR GOIN TO HEL!1111!1

I've read it, though I'm suspicious at how much had basis in fact and how much was invented by Dan Brown.

I actually feel offended if anything. The original post seems nothing more than imposing Christianity on this forum, and it even bashes Jehova's witnesses to some degree.

Everyone knows that if you want to hear something while listening to something backwards, you will hear it. All it takes is an overactive imagination, and from there, some easily impressionable people who will believe anything.

You know what, **** this topic. **** it and the person who originally sent that email. Who the **** do they think they are, trying to stop people listening to the music they love, just because it's against their (the email sender's) religion.

I wholeheartedly agree with Drace's first post's edit.

Now I'm ****ing pissed off. Bah.

*blinks* Razor, get a hold of yourself XD You know Drenrin, I actually agree with that. I always have, and I really need to read this book but the one I have is so friggin long..oO. I find it amusing cause I always get into a few debates with my friends, who believe in religion strongly. They say there is a Jesus who will lead us to heaven, and the bible was made by god. I say that at this very moment, our lives can be hell or heaven and the bible is a book that was made by men who want power over others. Like really..how many verisons of the bibles are out there? It's always revised and yet, people seem ok with it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not an atheist or anything, I believe there is some 'kind' of god out there..I just don't believe in the bull the bible holds within it's cover. To be honest, there are waaaaaay to many religions out here to actually attempt to spread 'Jesus'' word. Neo or whomever (I forget, oh and this isn't a flame) reminds me of these homeless crackheads (ect..) in New York who spread the word of 'God' and hand out flyers or beg for money, and say god is good. Well if this god is so good, then why are you eating food outta the trash? I find things like this amusing, but it may just be me  :D

"Hey kids, how you doing?" > "Hey kids, kill whities motherfucking sacks of ****! Rape Jesus! Rape your mother and praise Satan! *loud groan*"

I totally agree. These kinds of things are designed to exploit a person's religious value for a vendetta full of lies and half truths.

Exactly what I'm thinking. I've always thought, if you had to change the bible, then what's the fuckin' point of religion? Peopel shouldn't be able to choose the rules they like, and toss the ones they don't. And let's get real, a person can only believe something blindly for so long. 2000 years is such a long time. No one, and I mean no one, really knows what happened. Did Jesus even exist? I believe he did, but that's something you have to decide for yourself.

That's one reason why I choose not to follow a set religion. Religions are sort of like cults. I choose more to live my life and try my best to do the right thing, because I am imperfect. If there is something after I die, there's only one way to find out, and that's a long time from now. Let god or Buddha, or whatever it is judge me how it will. I'll know I lived my life to the fullest and did my best to do what's right.

If I should be sent to hell for this, than so be it and I guess our god isn't as merciful as we thought.

EDIT: I think, even though it is important to remember the Da Vinci Code is just a book made by a storytelling author, it does have facts in it that raise interesting questions that if raised in 10th century would get you killled.

Thats what they did when they complied the Bible. They chose the 4 most innocuous gospels, took all the letters Paul wrote, and called everyone else heretics. Where is the justice in that?

me too. A mod has gotten pissed off, along with other ppl. People just cant be mature about these things = disapointed really on all this thread.

As a Christian i can only say to you that if you, have not read the bible ( the one that solidly say "the Holy Bible" beacause other highly changed versions ARE postmarked) ( and i am talking in context here, not skim reading, or revising, but have understand it, regardless if you do not believe in or w/e) and afterwards research on it, I do not believe you have the minorest right to either say : its a bunch a bull, its horrible, its a waste of time, its just to get you brainwashed, its just made by ppl that wanted fame, etc.

Because even to some things on it have been proven.

On a more practical level of thinking for some of you people is like judging a book without having it read.

And even worst, label most of people that follow it or believe in it  because of the same thoughts.

where as all on this thread, look into it. Those subliminal messages HAVE been found on some songs. Not by any kind of ministries, bu tby people who were just plain curious. I don't see it as much here in the US, but in two other countries i know of those subliminal messages and I even got creeply hear one of them. By this I don't intend to sya music is evil, no, not by a long shot. I listen to a lot of music, some that I dont even understand most of the words. However consiously as a Christian I need not to be influence by any trash I can pick up.

Now as a person, member of this forum, If you people CANNOT at ALL handle a discussion like this without getting pissed-off, insulting, blaming, name calling, putting down others, ganging up, first-words thinking, flaming, bashing, spamming, stereotyping,  or any other words that relate to any of the above, don't keep on typing on this thread, it will be senseless. I am not disapointed at what people are saying is HOW they are saying I am really disapointed of. If you cant really handle something like this that might be touchy without being mature (i think i used this sentence wrong but whatever idea reached) then I suggest to not look at the thread anymore, or tell someone who can maturely post, to post for you. It is like ppl who cant take stuff maturely, that flame wars start.

With that in mind, if the thread would go on, please keep that in mind, if its to be gone, good ridence.
