Yeah, so time attack mode is pretty hard, I haven't beaten hard mode yet either.

Uhm, an MMO that you won't get bored of: WoW. I'm sure the board is full of Guild Wars bitches who hate WoW for no good reason, so.. other things to do.. play with a dog!

Ooh I know. Value your time with us. Once we all get Spore, we'll never see each other again.

Hehe, I'm a heavy mmo'er. Started out with UO, and moved on. Recently played WoW, and DDO, but none of them were for me, so now I got nothing to do :(

That's why I'm trying to finally make a rpg on RPGM I guess.

Anyway this is the MMO I'm currently awaiting, and it looks great :)

Sign up for beta ya'll. It'll be a blast.

Impossible; it is inconceivable to make a MMORPG, because the majority of people who buy it wouldn't be interested in role playing in the slightest.

I believe whole heartedly that MMORPGs don't exist; the only things that exist are action games. Have you ever seen a MMORPG that actually works? In every MMORPG the economy is always fucked; the role players get ganked by the non-RP Pkers and Power gamers. Normally there is a huge division between rich & poor in MMORPGs, and people love to lord things over other people.

In short, MMORPGs are anti-social on many levels, and not just with the real world; the people who inhabit these games display an anti-social attitude to the other players, and co-operation is often rare and hard to find in places with well established vets that aren't interested in anything but to lord 'power' over other people.

Perhaps that's how the world works; the stronger asserts his or her will over the weaker and unworthy.

I just don't know :(

Venator: Not true. World of Warcraft(which I don't play but know far too many people who do), for example, is focused on clan actions, raids, interacting with others, etc. Each person in a guild has a purpose, be they a tank, attacker, or healer.

Now yes, the RP aspect may be a bit weak, but at least it's not as unbalanced as you say.

In WoW, I found it easy to find at least a small group for PvP, Questing, Dungeons etc.

IGN.com had an interesting article about the Past Present and Future of RTS games.

An MMORTS game was mentioned as a possibility, that is, IF certain obstacles can be overcome. I think this could be a refreshing breath of air in the MMO genre if it can be done.
