I don't use Photoshop either. Least, not for the lighting effects I posted in this thread. Don't be so quick to assume.

You were right about how you didn't use photoshop. There's the apology. I'm just pissed today. I have a lot of homework this week so I don't get to use the computer much.

I still think my lighting looks better than yours though. Do lights really go in several directions? Is light that white?

Pretty much.  Use premade light, it works much better, instead of making your own.

Just don't tell people to ignore Meiscool's post next time. Meiscool's posts are very valueable and enjoyed by everyone on the forum. Especially by me; Tomi.

Tomi, I just asked how to make light like he does. I hardly read the tutorials forum. I only read the threads in there when I don't understand something like when I didn't know how common events worked.

I asked Aboutasoandthis becausehe seemed to be really good at it. Besides, I like aboutaso's better.

Seriously, though. Does the teleportation map seem too empty in some regions?

My god, people needs to stop doing that! I was just thinking Tomi had been acting a bit strange lately.

Does anyone here remember names? I noticed what Meis was doing (very clever, more respect).

Let's just get over this and go back to screens. Meis, you know I didn't say to ignore all your posts.

Uh, I made a tutorial about that in my Mapping Tut on page 5. Reading that might save you and About some time.

Just do not post something like that again.

Anyone got a nice screenshot? Ed, There are a couple of mistakes to it but it's an overall nice world map. I never liked that chipset though. I didn't think it looked too crowded.

Overall design is good; but the character's sprite style doesn't completely fit the chipset's style. It's also hard to tell where the ground is, since it's so vertical.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!

Here's two shots from the interior of a cathedral/castle (They buildings themselves are attatched, but they're not considered the same since the only way to pass through one to the other is through a garden
ie: going outside).

Sorry, I know you guys like maps with lots of stuff scattered around ^^' but I dunno, I'm too used to playing 3d games to be able to put stuff over the map like that. Maybe one day ^^.

I know this is going to sound stupid, but there's little details like dirt between the grout near the exit to the garden etc. Enjoy ^^ and please be nice >.<
