3: I say they're old, and I know my mapping sucks
4: Gemeni out of freaking knowhere starts attacking hat I said, when I was done and accepted the fact that my mapping sucks.
5: I agree that I messed up, Gemeni was right.
6: Bluhman from outta the Ozone throws in his DPS, making ZE soun like he was encourging me
7: Gemeni tells me to drop it and grow up

9: Bluhman not finished with me tells me to stop replying.
10: You come in with words that would generally start a flame war.

Tlurien forest.  Same style as the Fenrir Forest except no fighting

Liam city: A City that becomes the main town and retun location for a portion of the game

Fenrir Temple. Whixh introduces new enemies and AI different from other previous areas.

Learn to comprehend what you read before you cry 'flame war". Flame wars go both ways. This has been us telling you to shut up for two pages.

Your maps need a bit more detail, but other than that, they're fine.

Also, Character Models look a bit out of place. Especially in your first pic.

Considering the amount of effort put into char sets compared to sprites. It's kinda hard to find even at least 80% sprites that match tilesets. Unless I or someone else made them. :/

I think the detail is fine, when you play through the areas, you'll see what I mean.

I agree with X (wow).
You need a little bit more stuff going on, right now they're kind of boring to look at.

The slime at the bottom looks a little like a rock.
Or is it actually a rock?

When your mapping you have to think about the environment as if you were actually there. So if you can, try that and
see where that leads you.

I'm going to be 100% honest and blunt here.
Those maps are flat, boring, and they look like they were made by a computer, and not a human being, or at least not a human being with actual feelings or the ability to show them. Though some computer programs have the ability to make better maps, nowdays.

You have too many sharp edges that don't look real at all, you would never see them on a forest. Trees are living things that don't grow on straight lines.  Your city is also very empty and boring. I suppose its a medieval city, and from your description, a big one. Those were crowded, full of people. There's nobody there but the main character and one guard. Where are all the people, where's the life of the city? Add people, add animals. Dogs, cats. Not sure if that screen is of a castle or something, but there were usually no streets and sideways like there are today. You could think about adding some dirt or whatever. The last screen... Again, empty and boring. Rivers usually have some sort of vegetation around them, and even if they don't, the soil around it will be different. Not regular grass like you have there. You have those small trees there, they look bad. They are full grown trees that are probably meant for some sort of world map. But they're tiny, so it looks like they were shrinked by some sort of bizarre magic instead of being young or small trees. Your monsters... You have the skeleton from Minish Cap, that doesn't matches the style of your game very well, that dude that seems to be from some final fantasy game if I remember right, and some random slime. The slime has too much contrast. All of them appear to have been colored one day, until you or someone else removed all saturation, but forgot to fix the contrast and etc. It just doesn't looks good.

This needs a lot of work as you can see. I'm not telling you to give up. I'm telling you to work.

I'm trying to work ;__;'' I don't plan on giving up. I just can't seem do get mapping right.

:My forest tileset didn't have a treeline. (the top and outer area) That forest tileset was made by me collaborating and editing from other tilesets from other games.
:The town, I haven't added any people. Just the guards.
The last scene is within a castle. The fenrir temple. Which is a mix between a forest tileset and castle one. Took awhile to mash together. The end result I don't have enough tileset room to have alot of wildlife and castle objects. BUT I DO have some grassy and plant life character sets I think I can use. I plan on replacing the little trees with bushes.
:The skeleton, slime, and ghost was from someone else's game. From what I'm told they're 100% custom made.

Thanks Lucas. I'll use 100% of what you told me and try to fix up my maps. I'm good at ABS, but god knows I have no talent for mapping. I'm working right now to fix up the places.( Since I was waiting till I got a kink out of my menu before I continued any further.) I really want to make the forest look better. but

is all I got to work with.
I had to compile the treetop part myself.

EDIT:
Gah.... I'm gonna have to edit the tree's and make a slanted verion or something. With just that small set of tree's I can do very little.

@Xtreme: I have a demo out. Though only people who've played it are people who have helped personally with my project
(MY Music maker, my lazy spriter (Bosses), and my friend who did a bit of mapping.) I could release it.... But right now I'm afraid of what bugs people might find.
Good lord I'm sure theres more than the first release of Modern Warfare 2.

:EDIT EDIT:
WTF.... Anytime I try to edit the Chipset, it won't let me upload it... It has something to do with the new paint.... Is there anyway to get a hold of the old one?
When I save it from PNG to 256, it loses quality. Before with old paint I could do this without quality loss as long as I hadn't edited it first.... Dear Odin this is aggravating.

You can use Events to add trees, rocks, etc.
As for the sprites (Skeleton, Ghost, Slime), I might be wrong but they look like they come from the PSX RPG Maker.

That I can, and will. But for the Boundary Trees I can't do so. The tree's in the forest that give the map the shape.
