Thx 4 defending me, but the only way I get better is if I get insulted. Like they say, 'Learn from your mistakes', right?

It's a site full of name generators. It might help you come up with a storyline.

Thanks. I'll use on my next game, Final RPG V. If these guys like the first game I'll ever release to the public, Final RPG IV.

Vwelcome a ter Charas.

In future, please try not to multi-post.  Also, don't use internet shorthand when relating your plot to the world, like when you used 'B' over and over.  It makes it a bit hard to read.  Trust me, it'll make you and others happy, as they will have less reason to yell at you.  That is all my advice.

Ok here is my result from that web link.
The story is about two heroes, two soldiers, two mages, and two priests. It starts in a smithy in a tourist town. Recovering magical artifacts and knowledge is a major part of the story.

I changed some things around.  :bee_wtf:

I kinda like the idea of the chain between bad guys and heros. I was making a game with that idea called "cycle of time" a long time ago. The legend in my old game was "when the shadow decends upon the land, the light shall be reborn". They would both fight eachother, their powers would cancel eachother out basically, and both would sleep for many many years until the other awakens, thus, the cycle of time. The plot in my game then was that the shadow came down upon the land, but then when the hero awakened, he was not able to destroy the shadow, and thus the cycle was broken. In the end of the game, they would have found away to destory the shadow for good, and let the find a way to let the hero live a normal life.

My point in that was that you should try and vary your cycle a bit. It makes for a more interesting plot. If you've ever played FFX, they did this with their cycle.

You have to be careful when making a plot like this. In any game where you have to collect artifacts, crystals, etc, you're basically giving away most of the plot to the player at the start of the game. Remember, its important to make the player 'be on the edge of their seat' most of the game. They shouldn't be able to tell whats gonna happen next. In most games where you collect stuff, the player can tell right away what the plot is like untill they collect all the items.

So IF you still want to make a plot where you go collect artifacts, there are two things you should try to do. First off, you should try to have other stuff going on at the side as well. Don't focus the story just on the artifacts and such, involve lots of other things to keep the player interested. Second thing you can do is try not to let the player know everything they're going to be looking for at the start. Like don't say "there are 8 legendary weapons" and the heros look for them. Instead, have the heros stumble upon a weapon, have them look in a library to see if they can find any info on it, then while in the library, they find refrences to another weapon. Keep it so the player doesn't know everything they're going to be looking for all at one time.

And a record. :p

Judging by your game MH, you are a beginner in RPGMaking. You should check out the 'tutorials' section, I think they even have something for storylines there.

Okay, I'm going to change what they have to do. It all starts out like this, a Hero and his friends are sailing the seven seas w/his friends. Then, a storm hits and destroys their skiff. Then everything goes black. The next thing the Hero notices he is on a mysterious island and his 7 friends are gone. He is in search of his friends and then stumbles upon a 1000-year-old prophecy. The prophy is the Darkness is born and so is the Hero. (As i stated earlier in this topic.) So he has to save the world from (I'M NOT SuRE whAt to Call IT YeT.)

Sounds good. Again though, I wouldn't reviel the whole prophicy right away. Like don't just have some guy tell the hero "theres a dark time coming, and you as the hero must stop it" hero: "ok!". Build into the whole idea. If you want to tell of the whole prophicy at one time, maybe have the hero think that it has nothing to do with him, but as the game progresses, he learns that he is the hero.

Unless something is meant to be a sudden plot twist, its usually better to build into topics and things instead of presenting them all at one time. Though, this is not true in all cases.

I honestly do take that offencively.

Ditto.
My Area 19 plot and Metal Tears pwns J00. (Not you, Male Haro)

BTW, that wasn't anything near an insult. I've seen way worse said by you, Warxe, for all those fan games we get once in a while.

Anyway, your intro sounds good. Good luck. I suggest that you mix the "knowledge gathering" up a bit, and maybe give the hero a false clue set up by the bad homie, and then make the hero have doubts when he finds the next clue, and then have the lplayer make a choice whether to take the clue or not, based on hints given in the rest of the game. Kinda like Myst V: End of Ages. Great game, BTW. If you do that however, I suggest making both options correct in the long run, or else the player would just quit the game and leave it alone.

How exactly does the hero stumble upon this prophecy? is it storming one night and he finds a ruined temple for shelter? does he stub his toe against it (like a stone tablet) while wandering about? How?
