This thread is head trauma.

And I'd be the guy who points out the obvious, then questions how it happened. And then probably the third thing.

Your theory is wrong in my situation. If this happens, it goes as follows:
*it's hot in the room*
Person 1: It's hot in here...
Person 2: Nooo, it's cold in here. [/sarcasm]
or
Person 2: Good fricking call, [Person 1]

Grandy: I am bored.
Grandy: No way! I can't get bored! I just post random crap on Charas!!!
Grandy: Is this wise? The probability of  a popularity decrease is dangerously high. But, erm, why not!

Ah, I see. Anyway, I find that a lot of times, people agree with the obvious instead of negating it. If someone says its hot out, and it is hot out, the second person usually will agree with the statement instead of trying to deny it. The same thing is true for a lot of obvious stuff out there.

Like yesturday at work, I punched in and walked into the store, it was buisy. This is how our conversation went.

Person 1: Wow, its really buisy
Me: yup
Person 3: *nods head*

I think he means when something happens that's out of the ordinary. No ones going to honestly deny it's hot when it's 120 degrees if you ask them. Now, if a dog were to talk...

P1: That Dog just spoke!
P2: Dogs can't talk!

I mean, sure... P2 might say "Woah!", but odds are he'll be all "WTF?" and question it.

Ah, that would make more sence.

Though I don't really consider something thats out of the ordinary as 'obvious'...

Well, if you just saw the dog talk, then, obviously, the dog spoke.

Hence, it's obvious to you that the dog spoke, though it might not be to people that don't believe dogs can speak english.

But still, the rule is that p1 will state the obvious, p2 will negate the obvious, then p3 does something.

If its hot outside, thats obvious, thus it would fit the rules.

I think maybe we need to add that this only applies in cases where the obvious is a bit out of the ordinary. That might work a little better.

I see what you mean, but my thory was more directed to really unusual things. I'm sorry I wasn't really specific.

It still makes perfect sense though. I'd be either person 1 or 3.

Not quite. I believe what the original post says is that they are the three possible reactions that people could say. He's just using p1/p2/p3 as examples. It's not guaranteed that, should 3 people be walking down the street when something weird happens, they'll all react in those three ways.
