Uhm... you're right. That means Link would win, then.

Link, he's not a useless guy who gets beaten by Hercules from a Disney cartoon. XD I caught that from sombody O_o...

But yeah. My vote is Link.

Plus I really get sick and tired of hearing about FF7, Sephiroth, and Cloud! Original? Come on... Sephiroth uses Supernova several times, how is that even conceivable? That would mean everything is exploded several times over. Gosh XD

And Cloud wields a huge sword and has a bad haircut, whoopee! He's an emo... -_- and what moves he got? Somthing called emoslash? Oh wait, omnislash XD. Very creative... <_<

Also considering the different styles, yeah, technically Link being an action RPG char, he'd have a great advantage. Also has the popularity advantage being a more oldschool figure. Zelda 2 was one of the first games I ever played. I'm not going to hype any about gameplay. Just saying Cloud has NO history to back him up. He's just a random generate by Squaresoft. Nothing really special.

If you put Link and Cloud in a 1-mile battle terrarium, Link could simply snipe Cloud off with his bow.

If you threw them into a 12-foot battle arena, Cloud, because he could just swing his buster sword and decapitate Link.

If you put them in a 30-foot battle arena, Link could pwn Cloud by throwing bombs and chinchous and crap like that, then rush in and slice him up.  Duh.

....And I've never played FF VII.

Let me call back into the spotlight the Sampson physics theory. As long as you have giant hair your muscles can easily become super strong.

Uhm, green potion? Yeah. Besides he'd only need the armor for 30-60 seconds. We all know that any debris from a summon dissapears after about 30 seconds.

Let me point out, that unless I don't RC, the Windwaker and Ocarina of Time were never able to actually stop time.

Oh, and Cloud: Final Attack+Phoenix. He's not staying down.
Link can only hold 4 fairies/bottles.

But Phoenix has to be used on you when dead. Unless he had an auto life on, but that only works once. Links faeries revive you when you die. No one else has to use em. Link can have 6 bottles if its MM rules.

I don't really think Phoenix Downs / Phoenix works on actual death, though. Dying, yes, but not actual death. Otherwise you could just revive Aeris with no second thought, or any time of the billions of deaths in the other games. :p

Now if you payed attention to the games and news on MGS4, you would've know why.

As you know (if not, your brain is to retarded to play any MGS ever again) Solid Snake, along with Liquid Snake, are clones of Big Boss.

But, they aren't perfect. True, they look like the perfect fighting machines and soldiers, but they have a lot of flaws. One for Snake being rapid age. The cells of his body have a rapid aging producere, thus making him old in the fourth MGS game.

Also, you should remind that Snake was around BEFORE MGS1, since the "Les Enfants Terribles" project from 1972. Seeing as MGS1 takes place in 2005 and MGS2 in 2007 and 2009 (2007 being the Tanker episode; 2009 being the Big Shell episode), this makes Solid Snake 37 á 38 at the end of MGS2. Seeing as MGS4 will take place further in the future (In my opinion, probably somewhere around 2015, making Snake 43 á 44) and with the rapid aging, it seems plausible for me.

Listen to the man. Drace, write a damned book on the games. I'm too lazy t buy a PS2 and play em.

I'm working on a manga. Book didn't work out, can't find interest for it. You can check what I have on Sporky's (Oooog's) site, under User Submitted Mangas. Still working on deciding how to put every thing in place. Like either putting the events of MG1 and 2 as flashbacks between major events of MGS (aka MG3) or doing it otherwise.

Well, keeping in mind MM is only Young Link. I'd think we were pitting Adult Link vs Cloud here.

Might I remind you guys we are on an RPG-Maker forum?

Get the stats of both together and attacks, make up Link as a boss and Cloud as a boss, make Link as a character and Cloud as a character, make two scenarios, perfect both the characters and bosses and voíla, we can see who's the best =D

Umm... actually, Jenova is known as many things, "Calamity from the Skies" as well as the master of DECEPTION and ILLUSION. Sephiroth has essentially become as one with Jenova and therefore can summon the same powers of deception and illusion, as embodied by the Supernova spell - not an actual supernova, but a mere illusion -- much like the battle background itself.

All of the main characters in FF7 are deceived in some way, with the exception of Aeris but as she is a Cetra she is beyond the level of the rest of the party - and on par with Jenova (who embodies deception).

Don't mess with the game's logic if you don't understand its intricacies ;)

And just to contribute to the discussion, I don't play Zelda as I don't like it, but Cloud would whip Link. And don't complain that Cloud cannot lift his sword -- he has Jenova cells... they grant him superhuman abilities. That's also why Sephiroth can lift his Masamune...

Plus, I never knew of someone having to recuperate from the effects of summoning. Kadaj doesn't have to recuperate in the slightest in Advent Children, and he's weaker than Cloud...

I'm sure that would be biased by whoever did it.
