Hell’s Mansion
Chapter I

The Gate

“I don’t remember much of that night… It was dark, windy. I didn’t know what I was doing there, all I knew was I needed to get to shelter. Something was chasing me…Then that dark room with the eyes. They said one will get you at some point or another, I didn’t know what it meant then.”

I was walking slowly through the leaves and all I could here was the slight ambience of the forest not far to my right, and the crunching and rustling of the leaves under my feat. Every now and then you would hear the distant bark of a dog, or hoot of an owl. It felt as though something was watching me so I picked up the pace… the feeling left me. It was a strange feeling in my gut which made my heart jump, I do not understand why we feel these strange emotions.

Some emotions are good but others are bad and they coexist together in a strange harmony and although different work together. Without love there would be no hatred, for love causes all hatred somehow. Maybe someone you loved died, and you have hatred for the cause. Yet to remove emotion either all would be peaceful or all would be chaotic, but this wouldn’t be so for we wouldn’t be able to feel peace and we would have no reason for chaos.

I came to a gate and thought that it was getting frighteningly dark, and it was quite cold, so I rung the bell on the front. Only a short time later a man came out and requested me to come in.

“You must be lost, and it is cold. Come in please, my masters shall assist you.” The young man said quietly.

“Why thank you, it would be very nice but I mustn’t burden you.” I spoke courteously.

A man at the main door of the house spoke welcomingly “Come in, come in.”

Oh how a regret hearing those words, they where the harbinger to the events to come.

Image files in RM2k and 2k3, are required to have 256 color palettes.

You are using too many colours in your pallette.

Open it up in a paint program, and change the colour depth

I didnt even realize.

Whatever. He kicked it. I figured they were the same guy. I wasnt paying attention. I saw the fleshy circle charset, and was immediatly overcome by stupidity frustration, and figured Id solve the problem, while being only slightly condescending.


Not like its the first time.
Im oblivious that way.
