I wish you luck. Because with a weak story like this, youre gonna need it. Luck and mad programming skills. Wait.....scratch that last one. It dosent matter how mad your skills are......the game is weak dude.

But Id play it once just out of curiosity.

And to see how RTP sprites fit along side Sonic Sprites. I know it will be bad, but.....damn.

I know if I had this many people that thought my stolry was stinky horrible garbae consisting of used diapers and feminine products, laced with a steaming dogpile, Id scrap the project.

first, we'll see Sean running across the landscape, preparing for the nationals. he then stops to talk to a couple of his friends. he then continue running. he then accidentally falls off the cliff he was running across and he ends up in a cave. that's when the music is changed to a cave-like theme. he then walks around and finds a crystal. curiosity gets the better of him. he picks it up and the crystal shows a ruined landscape. it shows sonic & friends trying to enter to egg carrier. then a battle starts with sonic and a robot setinal. then they get to eggman. then eggman hits them with the weapon and they turn into crystals. he then scatters them across the world and the crystal stops showing it. then sean takes the crystal and leaves.  the next day, when he's training, two robots appear.  they ask for him to come with him.  he goes with them and they take him to eggman.  eggman welcomes him and talks about the work he put into his fortress.  he asks for Sean to give him the blue crystal he has.  he said he won't, because he knows the truth about him.  eggman pushes a button and two robot setinals and orders them to get the crystal.  then you fight the robots and afterwards, you run all the way through the fortress (i'm considering to put a minigame somewhere in here).    he then decides to get out of the place so he can figure out what to do next.  he then goes to his parents and tell them he's "going to the nationals" and him and a friend of his leave the city, traveling on the road.

that's the full intro.  good enough?

Yes, it goes outside the meter.  To be overly critical, this game will not be liked by anyone over the age of 10, even by Sonic fans such as mineself.

IF you continue to pursue this game, I would suggest not making your main dude a human, 'cause anyone can do that.  This takes place on Mobius, where there are sentient animals.  Make him a frickin' badger or something.

You will never give a new experience to the Sonic universe. For one, you're using a FAR inferior program to make a true RPG. EVen if you did make it, who's gonna play it? Sonic has always been a platformer, and it should stay that way. If you want to make a Sonic game, learn C++ and whatnot and make a REAL game.

I'm not one to use acronyms, but Meis: STFU. You could probably spend the time it takes for you to insult people to work on  Recalcitrant , Metal Tears , or  Pact . Your track record for completing a game is far from great. Although you might prove me wrong with Metal Tears, there's still no reason to be a dick.

I haven't really deeply read every post about the story, but from what I'm seeing there's a human ithat could possibly mbued with Sonic's powers. To me, that's pretty sick. Perhaps his hair could become colored blue and slicked back after finding the crystal?

And if eggman wanted the crystals... WHY DID HE HIDE THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE... your story makes no sense to me what so ever. I think that you should scrap the project, and like the guy a few posts above me said, sonic is NOT an RPG

You're picturing it that he just runs and jumps off of the cliff. The way I see it in my mind, he's taking a cliffSIDE route, like one that has a slightly narrow path across a cliff wall. He trips, and trips to the side just a bit too much and takes a fall. Not a big one, like maybe ten feet or so, but no one's really looked down there because it's all thick bushses and stuff.

Eggman wants the crystal because someone found it. He hid the specifically so no one would, but now that one has been discovered, he has to retake it and hide it somewhere else.

As for beating up the robots, they're weak robots - he didn't expect the kid to actually fight back.

Final Fantasy isn't a shooting game BUT THEY MADE IT INTO ONE ANYWAY. This isn't like an officially sanctioned Sega game. You can make an RPG out of anything - it's the RPG game system that we enjoy, what does it matter if the character is Sonic-related? It's hardly as if he's trying to trick you into thinking it's going to be a fast paced game. Were he to make the same game, with all the same exact systems and moves, and instead of Sonic say it was just a crystal with an ancient hero sealed in it(Robotnik being just an evil genius), you'd probably be more receptive, even though IT'S THE EXACT SAME THING, WITH NAMES CHANGED. That is pretty ridiculous, if you ask me.
