Two good movies are coming out, the grudge 2 and saw 3. Which are ya gonna see and why? Which one do you think is better? I know a lot of saw lovers hate the grudge, which is why I'm asking. I wanna see both, because horror films are AWSOME. :corn:

Both look like they suck. But if there was a gun to my head, I'd rather see Saw 3. "Wahhhhh horror movies were so much better back then." They sucked back then. The only good horror movies from back then are the George A Romero ones. And the newer zombie movies are better anyway.

A funny thing about "saw" movies....

I have a buddy who is a contractor for stage/set lighting.

The Saw movies are Slated, not only for part 3, but 4, 5, and six as well. Hes on the contract for the entire project.

I guess theyre thrying to SLowly gear it toward an adult television serial....with swears and boobs.

Horror movies stopped being good when they stopped making giant animal/insect movies.

I've seen Saw 2. I thought it was pretty funny.

I want a creepy movie. Less gore, more WTF.

All horror movies, and I do really mean all, are on my list. Why? Because I'm a horror movie fanatic.

Horror movies nowadays tend to try to be scary, and they don't all succeed. What's great about the horror genre is, is that it never was meant to be scary, realistic or all too serious. Horror movies are more to tell a tale that makes you shiver just a bit and enjoy the corniness of it all.

For example:

The 80's, a great age for horror movies. Slashers were being released like crazy. Do you think that these movies were meant to be scary? No. They were meant to entertain you, to gross you out, to tell a sick tale but not to scare you. If they did scare you, it was extra. But the horror genre is not a genre meant to be scary, it's meant to freak you out, make you sick and sometimes even think of little we actually know of everything.

Why are there that many clichés in horror movies? Because they make the genre. People don't wanna see a horror movie where a dude kills the monster, they wanna see a sexy 20-year old bash it's skull in after it killed her 30-year old bodybuilding boyfriend.

Great horror movies:

A Nightmare on Elm Street
Friday The 13th
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Hellraiser
Saw
Dawn ('79)/('04)/Night/Day/Shaun of the Dead
Freddy vs Jason
Child's Play
The Descent
House of a 1000 Corpses
The Shinning
The Devil's Rejects

and the list goes on.

SUMMARY: Yes, I'll probably see them.
