FF 12 really doesn't have a main character, which completly sucks ***.

I like this type of gameplay more, but where did the plot and reason go? Where did the character dev go? There's little of none in this game.

I thought Vaan and Ashe were the main characters. <.< Specially Vaan, since he's the main one you run around with first.

Ashe is CLEARLY the main character. She's the most important person politically and she basically is making all the important decisions on where to go and why.

Vaan's a nobody, which is odd since he's the male lead.

I do like the story and I especially like the lack of meaningless love subplot that only gets in the way, but a little more development wouldn't have hurt. Like Penelo. We know basically nothing about her at all. Some backstory or some hard choices for these people would have done the plot a lot of good.

Yes we do... she's vaan's best friend, and possibly has a thing for him. Her family took vaan in, and eventaully her family was killed off. Then she and vaan started hanging out with migelo or whatever and she started working for them. THAT IS STORY. Ashe and Vaan are the main characters. Vaan wants to be a sky pirate, gay.

Vaan is the main dude for the first fifth.

Then comes a mix including Basch for the 2nd fifth.

Balthier/Fran for the 3rd.

Ashe/Balthier for the 4th.

And, as far as I can tell, the rest is Ashe. I havn't beaten it. I still have yet to fly to Bahamut's Fort.

As seen above, there is no main true character, and I base this on nothing.

Balthier and Fran are the sky pirates. Vaan is the wannabe sky pirate. Ashe is the fallen princess. Basch is the fallen night. Penelo is the annoying chick who MUST DIE.

I like how they went so far as to add facial expressions on the characters. Looking at Ashe's uncle, I was like o.o when he twitched XD.

Actually, I do like it alot. I'm not a girl who enjoys battles, I never really stayed through a battle in ff unless I had too. And I've actually gone through almost every battle in ff12 <.<... of course, I dunno how to actually run away but that's not the point XD

Addicted slut. I have a messed up controller... I only have two dual shocked controllers, and they're both messed up. Like the sticks decide to move the characters on their own, which is really freakin annoying. The r buttons are kinda crappy.. r1 doesn't really work, and I pressed r2 but it does nothing really.. -.- BUT WHO CARES!? Still a kewl battle system, <.< I want ff13.. ;.; It looks like it has more story <.<

As for 13, I heard in one of the Nomura interviews that the chick isn't the main. That there isn't a 'real' main. It follows different characters stories at times rather than focussing on just one.

But it's Nomura--he likes confusing ppl.
