Yes, the contrast was not strong enough to convey what I wanted. But it IS a digital photography class, so we're supposed to.

I guess what I was trying to present was an image where something was unexpected. Someone who didn't want to be noticed, who was non-confrontational (ie looking away) was the thing to stand out (red on the white snow). It's part of the whole faerie tale thing. But I don't think anyone really got it. I'll try harder with my next pictures.

You look like my grandmother.
edit: when she was young. You don't look like you're 80.

Maybe more people in the background and a longer out shot. Not so closed in on her, you know?

then possibly blur the rest of the people, everyone but her. Or something like that.

Dunno. >>

The background does not set well with the theme, nor does it set well with the emotion.

Other than that, I love it. Very nice.

I took your advice into consideration. What do you think of this shot?

You ever feel bad for not looking into the eyes of a homeless person on the street? Thats what I'm getting from this. I love how the image makes me feel that way to.

This peice is great, but the white shapes on the bottom of the image bother me slightly. I can't make them out, so it is a little difficult to view.

Try an extreme angle with a similar crop as you did in this one. I have a feeling you'll enjoy trying that out though it will be difficult to get right.

The blur looks a little blotchy.
It's a neat picture, but looks like the same thing as last time.

Just a hint of emotion in the second one.
