I'm not a pussybag, I don't get offended by that. I'm not very christian anyways. I'm Catholic. BIG difference.

I never said they offended me celebrating it, I just think it's a tad hypocritical. It doesn't matter how commercialized it's become, it's still a religious holiday. If you don't believe in a religion, don't celebrate religious holidays. As I said, athiests don't celebrate Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or any of the Indian holidays. Why Christmas?

There isn't a single person in my town who doesn't celebrate Christmas, not a single person celebrates anything else, so no one is offended at all. No Chanukah or Kwanzaa, which is no big deal. Heck, our school has a big ol' MERRY CHRISTMAS sign out front.

People need to stop taking things so personal and being straight up tight asses. If I say Merry Christmas, don't get mad at me because I'm agnostic, be happy 'cuz I give a damn enough to be nice! Christmas is about love and giving and all that, so why get angry over the little things that aren't even important in the end.

Now dren, I'm your friend (at least I hope I am), so don't take this the wrong way...WHAT KIND OF BULL**** IS THIS!?

Christmas is about celebrating the birth of Jesus. END OF STORY.
Do the aethists here celebrate Easter? If they do, they aren't aethists because that holiday celebrates the resurrection of Christ. If they do not celebrate Easter, why celebrate one and not the other?

One more thing, what with this "aren't very Christian stuff?" You are either Christian, or you're not. Sure, no Christian believes exactly the same as another, yes people use Christianity to hurt others, yes some people ignore what Jesus did and follow the old testament, and yes there is a lot of corruption in this religion, but Christmas is the celebration of the birth of my lord and savior.

I wasn't offended. I kind of laughed. :p

Edit
My mistake. I meant "old" instead of new.

...yes some people ignore what Jesus did and follow the new testament

I celebrate Christmas twice, once at my dads like 2 days before christmas. Then one at my mom's. It sucks having to go to two places. Kinda screwed up the togetherness thing with that holiday.

Christmas WAS once about Christ. But nowadays its moreorless about being together and being happy. Do you want to take that away from nonbelievers, ZKX? Is that what you want? Are you a communist?

Merry Christmas, bitches! I am officially the worst Catholic ever, as I never follow any religious rules. Hell, I don't think I should be seen as a Catholic anymore... I do believe a friend of mine described me as a "spiritualist"... Whatever that means... But I do believe in a higher power. I feel having something to believe in is better than nothing, and you know that there's nothing left in this mortal realm that's able to be believed in, so God feels like a good last chance faith-wise. And that's all I have to say about this topic.

I celebrate Decemberween. Christmas isn't a religious holiday anymore, it's just a day that kids get presents for doing nothing.

We could celebrate those, but Christmas is more fun. And I don't know the others.

In Holland we celebrate both Christmas and Easter, even atheists like me. Why? Cause atheists can celebrate what the hell they want.

I celebrate the birth of Jesus. If others wanna celebrate things of "being close" together" etc, let them do it, they're free. I'm religious (more a filosopher than a religious), but I don't care if other wanna celebrate Christmas.

If they're happy doing it, why stopping them? Another reason to be happy without REALLY harming others is a good reason for me. So, Merry Christmas everyone!
