Actually Caucasian refers to the original white people which were located in Europe. The word Negro comes from Negroid which was the original black people of Africa. You have mongoloid (sp?0 which is the orignal asian/eskimo look and Australiod which refers to the black look of Australian aboringials, islanders and people from countries like pakistan and india.

Emos aren't actualyl bad at all. I quite enjoy alot of emo music. Its people who take the fad to extremes that should be put back into their place. Also, I was once was a manic depressant of sorts, for well over a year. **** you about the suicide thing, cos you don't know ****. I ain't emo, but **** I whoel what depressions like. I'm talking about the people who only talk about the Cartoon Network adopted animes and buying into th recent wave of Hot Topic-carried anime-themed clothing. These people need to get a ****ing life!

[rant]I truly hate the recent anti-video game movement that politicians and lawyers have been campaigning. There is no proof showing any increase in violence of violent tendancies that stem from playing video games. Quite the opposite, in fact. If these **** HEADS would look into this they'd know that the trend of violent acts has significantly DECREASED over the past thirty years. Not all video games are bad, either. These crusades suggest that every game has a negative impact on society, but as any gamer would know, this is untrue. A majority of games are either nonviolent or have lower levels of violent acts than those found in more voilent games.

A lot of bullshit "facts" are slung around as well. One of the more common ones is that you are forced to kill characters or objects that reflect virtuous or important things or people in real life. More often than not, htis is untrue, as there are alternatives, and you are often punished, not rewarded for these acts. Most of the time, these options are added for increased freedom, not as a cynical reward system.

"Violence in games is training our kids to recreate these kind of things in real life." This is easily disproven, and no facts exist to found it. Most people who play games claim to play violent ones for the same reason as nonviolent ones, which is, for fun. And even those who do play based on some real-life phenomenon play in a fantasy world do their acts there so that no people are actually harmed. It's equally effective at reducing stress and burning off steam than taking a gun to a preson's head. And the idea of LOSING TOUCH WITH WHAT'S REAL AND WHAT'S A VIDEO GAME is rediculous! There are many and many a difference between what is and what is not, and there are few similarities held universally among games of violent origin.

It has been said that DOOM was used to train the students who staged the Columbine shooting, but let's think rationally: DOOM would be very useless in such a situation because no student or teacher would be firing rockets or plasma rifle fire at the attackers, and an empty map would be the same as blueprints or pictures in the plannig stages of the attack. And the thought of making a 3D world is possible in many ways with many programs, most of which are much more advanced and much easier to aquire today than in the past. Most of these kind of programs don't even have anything to DO with violence!

Violence is not sent into the thought process of a person by playing a video game, it's ingrained into our minds by instinct! Take any and all conflicts in the middle east, for example. Do any of those extensive violent acts have anything to do with video games? No! Let's predate video games: Where did the idea of extreme violence come from during World War II? The Vietnam Conflict? The FRENCH ****ing REBELLION?!! And what about music, books, and movies? These days, all those have violence involved, at least to some level. It's the same as any video game, that they're divided by content and levels of graphic content. Most voilence tied to a form of media is related to movies, not games! But let's not single out movies now, let's expand to books. In such timeless classics as Edgar Allan Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart, the main character murders the generous old man who shelters him, and for no reason other than his interesting eye! Or John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men, George kills Lenny, but only because Lenny kills another character. Surely the circumstances of these murders are quite different and emotional, but the idea of violence is still held strong.

Video games, like most other violence-containing media, is rated and given warnings about its content if it is objectable. In the United States, there is a LAW that states that video games that have aquired an M rating can only be bought by individuals of the age 17 or more, and MUST show a form of identification. At this point, violence commited by the user is unavoidable, because if the user is of a young age, then the parent is at fault for introducing such a violent work into the hands of the impressionable and moldable minds of children. If the user is above the age requirement, then it is the user's fault for unreasonably attempting fictional actions in real life, but then again, at that age, the violence is still unavoidable because the user would have to be mentally unstable or previously criminally inclined to try out such an act anyways.

Violence doesn't exist solely in video games, and violence doesn't stem exclusively from video games. But given the recent news coverage due to their reenactable and sometimes coincidental, unfamiliar, and (as a natural result of instinct) untrusted stand-point, they are singled out ans made a scapegoat. And I am against that, and I can see the truth.

[/rant]

EDIT: Lordy, but there were quite a many new posts since the start of writing this post. Minor touch-ups were neccessary to make parts of this post relevant.

My dad is a pussy assed politacal(sp?) rightest that hates everything that i like (anime videogames computers rpgs My very few friends etc. And if I had a girlfriend he'd hate her too!) And about the POLYHICS (get it a bunch of hics?) I love this country but I can't see it lasting for another century. But since I plan to be an engineer I may travel to see the rest of the world. (when I made money of course.) I may even live in Japan where all the opportunity with engineeering will be. Sorry folks they are economically and technlgicaly over advanced from us and if they get rid of atiny part in their constitution  they will and can have nukes Bye Bye end of story! P.s don't worry they will be saving our *** one day not kicking it.

I liked your quote even though I didn't at all respond to it.

Oh and you idiots at the beginning of this thread, don't make fun of foreign names! What if they made fun of yours?

Wow ehero. Razor was right about you and shovels.

My names Silas, m'kay? I have a rather large dimple in the center of my chin. I am a descendant from a redneck family. They can say ANYTHING about my name, appearance, or ideals. It doesn't make their names any less funny.

Think of it this way though. Every advancement Japan is famous for is originally based off an American/European invention. Computers? Us. Cars? Europe. Electicity? Us and Europe. You know WHY Japan has no nukes? Because we kicked their *** so hard in WWII that we were damn near close to making Japan an American colony, because we pwnd them so hard. Trust me, even if the American people or even it's government are behind Japan, our military sure as hell isn't. The US military was using computers AT LEAST 20 years before they were even HEARD OF.

Japan is full of pussies, look at their little queers they call rockers. 'Nuff said.

I'd write off something as ridiculous as this as pure sarcasm, but I really can't because he could be serious about this.

The fact that you discovered(not invented) electricity gives you no right to say that everything that stems from that isn't as great as your discovery - by that logic, cavemen are greater than anything we can ever achieve because they discovered fire and the wheel.

Who runs and funds the military? the president and congress funds them.

Who controls congress? Guess Fool! Give up? The people that vote. So the people have control the military over their power to vote! Sure we kicked Japan's *** but with war you make friends if there was no other way to make friends in the first place.

In the Japanese constitution drafted by us of course. Their is a clause in an admendmant. It reads somthing like this (ill try to be as accurate as possible) : 'The japanese people no longer renounce the right of the use of a military to start war.' This does not mean they can't defend themselves they can use their military to help others and keep enemies from destroying them. That's how they got into the not so popular war right now. Now with the North Koreans looming over them they can and will be able to dissolve the sixty year old clause from their constitution to bulid a nuke to defend against Korea. And you no why the Japanese work so hard and have no play time? (all work and no play make jack a dull boy.) Look at us in the US. We are nothing but football watching couch potatoes and take all our freedoms for granted. Don't you remember we all were under someone's rule 200+ years ago? Sure that is ancient history, but we are still fighting to keep that freddom that we got so long ago. You better believe it! People hate us not because of our freedoms, they hate us because we take it for granted without  knowing why we have it!

Hmm I have nothing else to say. If I offended anyone I don't give a **** because I was hurt and offended more times in my life than you or anyone can imagine. I can't care about everyone anymore I am spent. I try to be nice and get stepped on? No more. No more.

If only I could transfer the feeling of roaring laughter over the internet, I SO would. Go cut yourself emo-boy.

At this point, the military is self-sufficient, face it. We have enough tanks and weapons to live without funding. Where'd the funding come from? "$20,000 for a hammer, $30,000 for a toilet seat" Only an idiot thinks that the military and government are actually connected. No matter what you see, they never will be. Call it conspiracy, call it ranting, but it' the truth.  The military holds the power, and if you'd look to the past of your own favored country, you'd see that. During Dubbuya Dubbaya Too the country was run by it's military, and the same thing is going on here, we're just much less open about it.

Yes, I'm a conspiracy nut. Just wait, sooner or later it will be proven. Area 51 anyone?

By the way, high five if you can identify that quote.

I agree with ZKX. You look back at about any country's history and you'll see that they were never really run by the people. They were all run by powerful militaries. I do beleive, though, that the goverment has some power over the military. But what little they do would just be considered as informants. They tell them the public isn't happy with what they're doing and then they consider a move that they would benifit from without causing a upheavel in our "dimocricy". Take a look at Iraq. People were fine when we first started going over there. Then the media told everyone that more and more people were dieing each day, so people wanted their family's pulled out. Goverment told that to the military, and look, Democrats are in office. They say they're pulling them out, but hey, has it happened? I think it's all a show just to quiet down America.

I am not emo. I am Immune to most minor (and some major) pain. (mostly psychological) Emos have their fellings easily hurt. Not me I had my feelings hurt so much I take the ****. It takes a long time to get me riled up. You won't see a tear if I do lose my cool, you see violence. Emos shead tears. Others fight back. Heck I almost killed someone in my freshman year. Trying to get to me is the worst thing you will ever do, but this is mainly all talk for I rarely get to that stage. I try to make peace before anything else. I don't fell sadness. I never feel sad. I feel anger. This was not a blow up. This is my cocky warning stage. Hey get this: My dad gets me more upset than any of you can. So he may become the first one with a bat to the head. Too much about myself to you? I have a deadly version of me inside me. We all do no one likes to be pushed too far. It is just amatter of time. We are a violent race us humans there is no way to hide it. So lets drop it Ok? To you I maight as well be harmless. What harm can I do over the intrenets huh?
