So, somewhat, in the most busy year of my life, I´ve been dying and bleeding to play RPG with my friends (pen and paper-tabletop). But I´ve been empty headed also, cause I got too much to think about.

Being a guy that won´t leave his passions for anything, I decided to go through with it and make something up....It´ll be uplifting, since this year I got  loads of **** to do.

So I thought I´d come here and ask for some ideas, random contributions from the members of charas, since y'all have the same directed thought as I do.

Well, I´m really sick of medieval, so I`m leaving it. I´m gonna use a generic system so that I can make what I want, and right now I´m really excited about doing a space opera Campaign. I wanted to do something like Titan AE or Star Wars...Something in the space, but also  something inside the planets and stuff...

So, anyone got that card in the sleeve? Or suggestions? Let´s discuss it all, how should the storytelling proceed, the plot and all...

Have you ever played vamp? I played that with a couple of freinds, and you can basically pick what age you want to come from. They don't have any maps or anything though so you might have to make your own up by using mapquest or something.

Advanced ages are awesome, because you have the freedom to do pretty much anything in them. If you're going for a space opera-type campaign, I would definitely recommend looking at the Star Wars d20 game for rules and stuff, then adapt those rules to your own scenario with your own weapons, races, starships, etc.

I agree WArxe, advanced ages rule. Though, the huge liberty you have of making up stuff is exacly the problem I have to deal with: in my head a huge amount of ideas flow at the same time, and I can´t stop them from spinning around and look at them closely...But I´m looking for the story, cause the system I´m gonna use is settled. Star Wars RPG is awesome, but the rules don´t flow that well. TriStat dX is more suitable for the kind of fun I´m looking for ^^

Razor, I´m asking for suggestions on a Campaign for a tabletop RPG I want to master. The theme I wanted to master are Space Opera, Post-Apocalipt (sp?), Horror/Investigation. No more Medieval, that´s overused and clichès are fatal...

Darrelito, I`ve played Vampire, and it´s really cool, has all the style and all...but I prefer systems with a good battle system, so I discarted Vampire or Werewolf...

Kirby dude, I dream of mastering a game for you Charas guys, but I dunno about mastering in the Internet, and going to your homes seems kinda...impossible right now But maybe one day
