Using the internet is enough of a reason to learn at least basic HTML. You can use it in several forums - for example, using the HTML IMG tag instead of the Charas Forum IMG allows you to post a picture that isn't scaled down and that displays properly.

Basically, any part of the internet that involves communication can possibly benefit from a simple working knowledge of HTML - it's not even that hard! Comparing C++ to HTML is like comparing pounding a nail to building a fence - they're in the same genre of activities, but are on very different levels of skill and function.

If you really are afraid of HTML that much, at least use a different program to make your HTML besides Frontpage. The code generated by Frontpage is so bloated and broken that you can risk destroying any page you stick it in.

Well yeah img src, /b, /td, /i, /u etc is common knowledge, but to actually have enough knoweldge to build a complete, attractive, and fully functioning website isn't neccessary knowledge, even if you use the net. Yes, I know you can build a website with the simples above, but to build something like Charas front page or what-not is unneccessary knowledge. I was just sayin not to get on him cause he's not learning the in's and out's of html. But yes, Frontpage sucks nuts, and Dreamweaver is a good prog.
