The Ultimate Battle.....

Sup!  The game I am workin' on is "The Ultimate Battle".  My game is goin' to be extremly long, so be prepared.  Best guess of when i put it
on charas...3-6 months.  Here is my title screen.  It's just a taste of what this game is about, but, it says enough.

What it says to me is it's going to be Final Fantasy meets the Real world, which I'm sure would be a succees [/sarcasm]

Hmm, you want to base our opinion on your game with THAT title screen?

Well lets see, first off, it looks like a final fantasy spoof, which doesn't really sound all that hot. A title like "the ultimate battle" doesn't really sound all too great either, theres nothing really special about it. The text on the screen is very basic, just white, no blending, no effects, very plain.

So, if all i see on your game is your title screen, I'm gonna think its a lame fan game with nothing really special and very bland and not really worth checking out.

I know that was harsh, but really, don't expect us to be amazed at a title screen, give us some info as well.

First, the title screen is just a rough version.
Second, tellin everybody this way cause i didn't know if nebody would
post back on it.
O.K.
There will be chars from the old ff's on there, ranging from ff4-fft.
Some you can play as, but most you can only talk to or fight.
The storyline is about the real world is basically being invaded by the world of ff.  towns levels people and new levels. the main character is named Adam.  he has no real powers or nethin' but he still tries to fight the monsters. it's really balanced at the beginning but it just looses balance because i still gotta fix it. lol. sum of the ff chars that are playable are, Cloud, Sephiroth, Sabin, Cecil and Golbez(i'm only to that point in my game).  more will be there. the title is for a thinking purpose. if you have played past ff games before,  who would you think would be the hardest monster you fought in any of them.  the final boss i think is my toughest fight.

P.S.  if sumone knows where i can find better ff sources or help me with a character generator, plz post back or pm me.

i mean seriously it can't be as bad as you say it's gonna be.
haven't you ever seen a preview of a game and you thought it was gonna suck.  but you play it and it turns out you do like it.  all i'm sayin is don't judge it til you play it.

I'll tell you why.
This is a tough place for newbies, we're rough from the start. Not sure why, but we can't really change the way we are. I'm pretty sure most of us have already tried and failed. Also, it's just a plain bad idea. No thought or imagination was really put into it, and there's nothing to show for it so far. Also, most of us absolutely despise fan games, as they're either poorly executed, ridiculously boring, very unimaginative, rarely reach completion, or a combination of those things. Look around, particularly at some other threads about games people are already making, and you'll see the quality levels that we have set for our inner cabal here. And for higher success and approval ratings here, try having a completely original game idea instead of a fan game idea. It shows more imagination and creativity.

Prepare your flame-retardant suit, because whether or not the insults begin to fly, better safe than sorry, as I always say.

Oh, gem, cut the sarcasm. It's gonna confound the hell out of the poor guy.

well thanx for the info but to tell you the truth...i don't give up.
the game will be complete, it won't be boring and i'm already deciding
on everything.  all i was saying is that if you've tried to make one or you've played one.  you didn't play mine so don't judge it negatively yet plz.  when you play it then knock it if you don't like it, and tell me where i went wrong.

Haha just make sure its of quality and you have a good story. Its what I did on my fan game and it didnt get flamed much. Also info on the game helps ^ ^.
