The Chronicles of Ezekiel

Well, here's a plot summary (So far):

You play as: Ezekiel, a half vampire, who is also a Vampire Hunter.

A little on his background:

            Ezekiel's father was a Vampire Hunter. While he was still being carried by his mother in womb, she was bitten by a vampire that his father thought to have killed. As a revenge tactic, the vampire decided to bite Ezekiel's father, whom from now on I'll refer to as Henry, 's wife and love. His wife, who I'll also now refer to as Sharon, would become the one thing that Henry would absolutely despise. Though, then, He and his wife had no idea she was with child. Henry confronts the vampire, here on known as Alphonse, and nearly dies. After there battle, Henry went to comfort his wife, who was halfway through the transformation of human to vamp. As he comforts her, she awakens to take his life, for his blood. 7 months after this ordeal, Ezekiel was born. 2 months after his birth, his mother dies. Raised by his grandmother till the age of 16, Ezekiel had no idea of his family ties. At the age of 16, Zek goes to stay with his uncle, a retired vampire hunter. Through a series of events, His uncle, Anthony, trains him to become a Vampire Hunter, following in his father's footsteps, and avenging his family.


I'm going to make this game into parts, because I kinda want this to be big, and don't want to get bored with it. As so, the first part (as soon as I figure out how lol) I'll be posting, will be his origins a.k.a. his background previously said.


The villian(s) in the story: A vampire family, headed by Alphonse.

I don't really have much to post yet about them, I'm more concentrated on the origins piece right now.

Welp, that's about all i've currently got to post right now.

Meh.

I remember the Movie Blade. So the half-vampire history thing was kindof bleh to me.

The whole ordeal with his perents could be done nicely, but it seems spotty to me that his mother would become a vampire, Birth him 2 months later and then Die. After all, Shes Immortal now right? And the Kid is a half vampire so he should be ravenous...The Uncle should like, Abduct the child, logically. Otherwise somebody would have killed that demon baby post haste.

But then its more like Blade.

You need this Uncle to act fast.

The mother should get killed, and the demon baby cut from her jezebel womb.
The Uncle should do the slicing.

Also the name "Chronicles of" preceeding dosent make me think of vampires.
It makes me think of something more epic. Something that would span many generations.


So yeah....Seal up them discrepancies...try and twist it around so its less like blade, and add some shock appeal.

Heh, only reason I really used 'Chronicles of' is because I can't really think of a title that really suits it at the moment. And yeah, the whole series of event thing will make this thing WAY different then blade. But as a hint to why his mother gave birth to him, and then died: she traveled town to town, never really being accepted. The 'Vampire Family' (I'm kinda giving it a mythical mafia feel) won't accept her on account of the reasons she is who she is. Eventually, she gets cut down by a Hunter, hired by a township.

Well, currently:

James: A priest who travels with Zek on his search for Alphonse.

A little bit of background on James:

James is Zek's uncle's son. One of the requirements to become a Hunter, is to become an ordained priest(In the game, Hunters have the power to control the elements and use them in attacks. Who else but God would help um out with that ) James becomes very close to Zek, because each helped the other with their studies at their monastery. James had book smarts, but could never understand them well enough to actually use them, like casting de-spells and exilation spells. Zek exelled with his spells, but had a hard time understanding them. And so, James explained how to cast the spells, and Zek brought his teachings to life for an example to James.


So far, this is the only side charcter i've devolped. lol, I just got the idea for this about 2 days ago, so, expect more really soon.

Allright, hearing that I have advise...

Make the mamma have the baby, and flee town to town, with baby in tow.

Make Zek, instead of the UNCLE....Make him the hunter, hired by the townspeople.

And After slaying the Mother, does not have the heart to kill a half human baby...
So he takes him in, and raises him as his own.

This gives you room for neat stuff.

The kid could live his whole life not knowing where he came from, just that he's a half vampire...And the he could find out who he is, and that his "Uncle" is not his "Uncle" And the kid could have some crazy flashbacks.

But, I still think I'm gonna have Zek be the half vamp, cause that totally throws off my plot, with the whole revenge thing. I think the 'uncle' will tell him selected things though. Like, his father died by Alphonse, not his mother, and Alphonse was the cause of his mother's death. Not that he killed his mother, or that his father was also a Hunter.

I like it.  the idea of the vampire mutating the unborn child is neat.  I'm really looking forward to this.

Wow. I personally don't have a problem with having a dhampir as a character in a story, but to have him be a hunter AND half vampire as well as the main character is cliche'd. Very much so.

2. he made a few changes that make it much better.  sure the main character is still pretty clich'e but this game could be awesome if he as some character development or whatever the heck you call it.

... no, but seriously, it's okay. I like the idea of a priest and a half-vampire working together. Kind of a "good and evil working together" sort of thing, which is neat. But in general it sounds like you need to spend more time working on the game and collecting your ideas so you can better explain what's going on.

I agree completely, I think that I posted this too soon. So, I'll post up on this in about a week or two, so that can give me some time to collect up on everything.





Also, the only similarities that this games is going to have with Blade is that he was a Half Vamp that hunted other vamps. But that's where they stop.

Half-vamps as the focal character sucks really. Because he's always a hero, he's always the same personality wise, etc.
