Imagine a community of insane rabid cosplayers......
« on: May 08, 2007, 01:57:08 AM »
I felt like sharing the crack-headed-est dream I've had lately...... so....

For some God awful reason, I was with my brother in some institution, exploring, I think. The only problem? Everyone there was cosplaying. They lived in their costumes, day in, day out, and they were all insane. One lady was dressed like Maria from the Sound of Music, and she was fencing with some invisible guy. Another faction had set up a TV with a clip from the Simpsons in a hallway and dubbed it "The Church of Boogie", since Homer kept saying "boogie". scariest of all was the guy in the bathroom. He was dressed as Raphael from Soul Calibur, and he'd occasionally jump out of the shower and ambush me when I knocked on the door, which naturally freaked me out. Only then he decided to "unscare" me by ambush hug (something my best friend does, she sneaks up behind you, screams "AMBUSH HUG!", and attempts to strangle you). Bizarre.
Conclusions drawn:
1. Sound of Music is nightmarish.
2. Still hate the Simpsons.
3. Raphael is one freaky dude, man.
4. ....boogie?

I cannot argue with any of your conclusions, especially your opinion of Raphael.

Mermet de Vec, anyone?

I wonder what Dr. Freud would have to say about all this....

1. Freud would say psuedo-vampires with swords turn me on, and that in my past I was scarred by Homer Simpson in some way because he reminds me of my father. No, that's not rooted in Freud at all, really.

2. Raphael is one freaky pansy man. Freaky does not imply good or even half-decent. Examples:
1. Yami no Matsuei: FREAKY.
2. Chrono Cross: FREAKY.
3. Dirge of Cerberus: FREAKY.
4. Your face: FREAKY. Hahahaha........ *grin*
5. 'The Awakening': FREAKY.

Yeah, I could go on for ages.

And Mermet de Vec is only freaky in the glitch video where he does it upside down. Glitches are inherently kinda freaky.

Raphael can be mean on high difficulty. Unlike many of the characters, Raphael really expands his moveset as you move the difficulty up.

But yeah, he's easy for the most part.

Chrono Trigger sux. The reason my laptop blew up (well crashed and died) was because I was playing that game and the computer over heated and fried and all that crap. Then again, I was playing the game for near 10 hours straight.

Ok ok, Chrono Trigger is uber awesome, but it stilled killed my computer  :(

Wierd dream, I wish I would have weird dreams like that. All my dreams are normal and boring.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

It was canceled after a lawsuit from Enix.

But there was a Snes sequel to CT that was never released... I heard there are roms though.

It was called Radical Dreamers or something in those lines.

I love dreams like that. They're hilarious to look back on, especially since you, subconsious or not, were the one who thought it up.

Based on what you said and my extensive experience with Freud psychology, I'd bet he'd say that your dream meant you were attracted to your father when you were a child, as per the Oedipus and Electra complex.
