Theres this dude, and He lived with his Uncle.One day his uncle tells him that hes really not his nephew...He was found in a temple of RUINS.Some shady types come to their village asking questions about an orphan child, so the uncle arms the nephew with a sword, sheild, and some goldz.The nephew is supposed to leave the next morning, but in the middle of the night, the village burns down in a raid by the shady types.As he flees the inferno, the nephew stumbles into a hole, and within the hole is an ANCIENT CAVE OF CRYSTALS. Inside it, there is a hug Crystal. And it grants him powers, and tell him he has been chosen for a secret QUEST.So then as hes leaving the grotto, he meets a girl that is half elf, and they embark on the journey together, meeting various misceinets and rag tag heroes on the way.They soon come to find that the Evil Corporate government of BILCORP is controlling the world and planning to take over. BILCORP holds the last crystal, and intends to harness its energy for commercial use, will will ivariably destroy the planet.Nephew and Half-elfs Job is to stop BILCO at any means and regain peace and harmony to all of the CRYSTALS.

Also: Make them Ride giant marshmallowy Chickens.

Nah kinda easy there Gemini hehe pretty good though.

Hmm how about;

In the beginning of time there was nothing then a god created the universe, and then other gods joined in and used their combined powers to create a planet with all kinds of stuff.

But then a horrible event when the gods had different views on how the planet should be ruled, and a war began, each god had controll over a race living down on the planet and they told their races that the other races living on the planet was fallen from the gods might and heretics.

So a war broke out on the planet but the god who created the universe put a seal upon the planet to keep the gods from using their magic at it anymore. So with the helps of shrines, magis, sacrefices and prayers did the races use the gods powers against their enemies.
But after a while, one arch mage used his power to seperate the alnd and create all kinds of continents, one race on each continent. And so did the war stop, but the gods just looked at this in a fashion to improve thier technology and bide thier time in order to return and destroy their enemy races.

And so in the great city of [#::Cityname] there was a boy running at the streets, always been thought the learnings of [#::Element]
and believe that all other races was evil.

And when the fleet was gathered he sought/was forced to join the army/marine in order to honor his familly. But once he reach the enemy continent he realize how different it is and starts questioning his teachings after countless slaughter of people who doesn´t even fight back.
So he question his commander and is told not to interfere with higher powers and so he leaves in order to find a truth to believe in himself.

He steals a boat and go off into the sea where a storm rages, and the boat sinks(figures...).
When he wakes up, he is at the beach, somewhere else and he finds a village that is far more different from his own and the place he fought at in the army.

And so the adventure begins with him trying to learn as much as he can, and taking care of the beasts roaming the plains and even being accepted as a part of their village but still an outsider with other origin.

But one day, the army of his home country is moving on to that continent as well, crushing everything in its way. And after his village is attacked, people are having second thoughts of him, saying that he´s been a spy all along, but some guy/girl says that it is just stupid but then the both of you are thrown out of the village up to when you can prove your loyalty.

So you set out on a journy, when your friend tells you a tale of old when an old shrine was still intact and was channeling thier gods magic powers. And that you could surely bring back something from in there to prove that you fight for them. So you set out to the old shrine split in half when the mage split the land to search for anything of importance or value to the peoples trust.

A beginning good enough for you?

Gemini, your story would be much better if the half-elf chick had healing powers. And the whole BILLCORP thing is way too complex, I mean villains with a motive? What's next, maybe the main character is actually older then 14? (ha, as if)


On a more serious note... @daniel: You can't expect us to just make up a story without giving some details first. I mean, do you want your main character to be a guy or a girl? Do you want it to be on a futuristic or medieval setting?

It's alright that you can't make a good story, noone's perfect, but you need to tell us more before we can just start inventing random things.

anyways, the obviously "too obscure" point I was making was as such:
If you cant even think of a BASIC barebones storyline for your RPG...
not even "gotta catch em all"
Then perhaps take up another sport. Like Knitting.

Somebody can make you a story Im sure...But at least think of some characters or something...A theme.


Otherwise youre getting a chosen orphan, Crystals A burning village and a martyred uncle. And Bright Blue, green, yellow or Red spikey hairs and a half elf girl with big knockers.

What do we fight about? Er..... nothing.
Post in the team thread. That's what we're there for.
But..... if you don't have a story, why make an RPG? Isn't that what RPGs are, games with stories? More details are needed. Think of elements you like in stories, and characters you think are cool. Post those, and maybe we can help you

well the only reason why im asking is because everytime im
trying to make up a story it always involves characters that have been
in final fantasy and etc

kingdom hearts and etc...

i want to make up something that doesnt have these character's
and i have made up various games with shooting and all abs etc....

so i want to try something new is that you answer

So..? What´s your decision? Is it good enough for your game or will you seek aid from the Story team?

Ok, let's start simple, just answer these questions.

1.What's the theme you want for your game? Futuristic, medieval, present-day?

2.Is there magic in the game? If so, will it play a big role in the story?

3.Is your main character male or female? How old is he/she? Is he/she human?

4.What's the main bad guy for your game? Will it be just one, or a whole group of them? Are they really all that bad, or just misunderstood?

5.What challenge does your main character have to face? The end of the world? A mad villain on a quest for world domination? Change the future?

If you can at least answer all of those questions, you may have something worthy of a plot. Btw, if you really want to make something new, getting an original and creative plot.
