Lol. I guess I'll keep the names one color then.

I just noticed that all of my characters but Executive Larson have Blue Eyes. O_o.

Pff, nobody notices the eyes unless they're huge. You could recolor if it bothers you. It's better than a penchant for making every character have black hair..... *sigh*

So, because I want to see how well I can do with deadlines, I am place a demo date for this on August 30.

Yes. 8/30. I will plan on having the finished up Opening Scene, as well as adding in one more town, having an almost finished Gypsy Woods, and it will feature one boss.

Nothing really too enjoying will come from the storyline exept for maybe one thing.

Characters available will be Daniel, Braeden, and Ryan in that order.

Places available to be accessed will be:

Soren, Soren Fields, Lefur, Gypsy Woods

Mini-games:
1 (The coffee house one)

Mini-quest things:
1 (A broken vase!)

This will also be a test to see whether my season system works well, or if I have to get rid of it. (O_o)

So... um... what do ya think?

So, if you catch me on charas, and I don't have a reason for it, tell me to log off and work on AFL.

So, I just tested everything. And *almost* everything works fine.  Some of the time you have to press the button that takes you to the menu to make things fade in, but other than that everything's good.

So, Demo date is the 30th. :)

I, of course will be at school all day that day, so hopefully I can put the game up that evening after Marching Band practice.

I believe it should be a bit more than a half an hour of Game play.

Things to notice: The Watch and Braeden's Directions common events aren't working, so... yeah....

After Leaving Soren (after getting Braeden) You need to turn RIGHT to get to the next town.

EDIT:
...wait... I posted three times... without... anyone... else... posting... v_v...and no comments about it...

Second Post:

ACK! I was going to wait... another 2 days before kicking my game thread... but... I just had to... ah!

*Goes to Unmod to satisfy last of kicking urge*

This post:

...I feel depressed...  no comments....

NOTICE!!!!!!!  YOU NEED TO ADD THIS SWITCH EVENT OR THE SEASONS SYSTEM WILL NOT WORK!!!!!

Since no one else was commenting, I decided to play it. I don't get it.

I started out next to a swan and a woman swimming with no character. I had to go into the system and change this to include one. I'm assuming Daniel was the supposed one.

If there was a storyline here, I couldn't find it. There wasn't even an intro. I had no idea what to do. I think I had one mission to find a little girl after talking to her sister, but I couldn't finish the mission which leads me to another problem.

Dialogue. When adding text that takes up more than one line, you cannot assume that the text will fix itself to your box. You need to go in manually and test it to make sure all of the text fits in the box.

The mapping is...well...crap. I even looked at the maps that were in the Loaded game files. The biggest problem with your maps stems from its use of color. You often put similar colors next to each other without some kind of eye-popping complementary color somewhere.

The city was overall very grey. Most of this comes from the grey floors being next to the blue-grey walls. The mountainy area was light green. They only had a matching brown and nothing else. No water, no flowers, no animals. The other towns were mainly dark green. I think it came from its chipset. Even though you're using Refmap chipsets, your game has a very low saturation which is wierd.

Your houses and buildings still need change. I like architecture so the building you made kind of wierded me out. You're still doing the strange walls and house shapes. That university especially is just...funky looking.

I did like the music. It was very pleasant to listen to. I only wish I had found some cutscenes to see how you personally use it. I also liked how your download was 10 Megabytes, but after installing, it was back to 25. How did you do that? This could be really useful.

 Advice
-Experiment with Color so the game is Eye-Popping.
-Use pieces from other Refmap chipsets for more detail.
-Play Ara Fell for inspiration.
-BETA-TEST.

Final Score: 2/5 For its obvious potential, but not being well executed.

About, to fix the intro, you have to set the start position to the map named 'Opening Questions'.

Well, I played it. Basically, I really don't know what's going on so far, but as soon as I started playing, interested in figuring out if you did any other unique programming than a season system or whatnot, I tried pushing down shift, and as soon as I did, I began to move like I was CRAAAaaAAAaaaAAAzy. So, I began moving around at blinding speeds that I couldn't control. I stopped playing for a moment to check what your running code had, and as soon as I stepped into the Common Events tab and saw the running code, I saw your comment: BROKEN. It was indeed broken, but wasn't disabled from the game.

So remember AFL, when you have non-working code in the game, and you definitely know it's there, disable it.

I thought I disabled the running system...  *sigh*  I hate errors.  Phayre played it and told me some things that happened.

Ack. I hate it when I forget something.  Sorry people!

The story will be widened a bit farther in the game.

Aboutso, thanks.  Well, I was trying to make it so then you have to explore the city.
 That's how you get Braeden.

You have to explore to find things.

If anyone can help me fix up some of my coding, please, help me.  For example, the Watch and Braeden's Directions common events need fixed.

I guess I do need to fix up some of my maps.  I think my best on was Doren Falls (If you got there ^^' ).

I think the music was the part i did the best on.

Next demo, I'll redo Soren. As that was probably the worst map. v.v

I'm really sorry about the Starting position error.  I didn't realize that!  I must've changed it when I put in the swimming girl character.

Hm... what else do i want to say...

I'll fix some things up and upload a fixed version.

If you skip through the dialog too quickly, you'll miss things.  Also, I had a few appearances of charas people as well. (That aren't mentioned in my opening post).

...I'll most likely add more to that opening scene to get more from it.      Any other suggestions would be helpful.

Now to redo Soren!  *Runs off*

BTW, all i did was Right Click my folder, click Send to "FOLDERNAME.zip".  Nothing special. :)

EDIT: Now I remember,  I know I didn't format some of the text for some NPC's in Soren.  Like the two in front of the Cafe'.  I'll have to experiment in editing the chipsets to match my needs (A Cafe' sign, a restaurant sign, Bank sign etc.)

EDIT 2: http://files.filefront.com/Crystal+Falls+Gameszip/;8510663;;/fileinfo.html

Fixed some parts.  Hopefully things work.  Disabled the Running system.  Starting position fixed.

Also, there should be no one in the party in the System Tab.

I went on a code overlooking spree and figured out my systems weren't working right.  *sigh* I guess the working systems will have to wait until Demo 2.
