I almost made a level with a teleporter and a shield door just so I could go grab it at my leisure. I also found out that while overloading the map kills the lazzahs, it also evaporates the skull.

Yea, I knew that would happen. I just threw a teleporter out there once I found the skull itself, and kept on trying till I finally grabbed it. :3.
If Orbital is the new midship...I lost faith in mankind...

holy **** last night me and El Presidente, and half way through our third friend joined the game. It was absolutely the most fun I have had in a while.

At first we tried running to the skull. Didn't work.
Then we tried driving to the skull. Didn't work.
Flying to the skull. Falling to the skull. Throwing a teleporter exit to the skull.
Didn't work.
So we create this big pile of fusion coils and try to launch ourselves in the general direction of the skull. Didn't work. And in retrospect, I have no idea how we were supposed to get the skull back without doing it over and over and over again.
So then we played around with concentrating the explosions into one direction with a bunch of walls, and a ramp to help get the angle.
Didn't work.
So I don't know we must be around the half hour mark or something, where we suddenly question the possibility of the laser's ability to pierce scenery objects. To our surprise...
It worked.
So for the next half hour/45 minutes or perhaps longer, we start building this giant tunnel out of walls, wall corners, block huges (huge blocks if you prefer) and other such things. We run out of cash so we sell everything on the map except our poorly constructed fort.
While I was doing most of the work, near the end they started building ahead of me just to get up to it. Their poorly constructed roofless thing had me killed many times.
Not long after that, with hop, skip, jump and help from a bubble shield, we finally got the sucker.
We even took a picture, well posed, so I'll probably get that tonight, when I watch the replay.

Then half our before we ended it we discovered a scenery object called "tube".
Boy, would that have helped!

You fellas are pathetic! I just carried a shield door and flew backwards, holding it between me and the tower trying to melt me.

Well, given the option to do what you did, and what we did, I would choose what we did over and over and over.

Boring, yes, but much more effective. And smart.

And isn't everything that's smart and effective ultimately more boring than something fun, flimsy, and only technically effective?

Just replace "blondes" with "people who do things in a ridiculous over the top unnecessarily difficult way" or "retarded"
