To be honest, I like the Sex Pistols better then the Dead Kennedys. I think Dk are terrible, and I don't like any of their stuff. Sex Pistols have a lot of songs I like, with God Save the Queen and Streets of London being my faves.

(no, not you, Kijuki.)

Tch, conformists.

Either way, I wear baggy things not to appear gansta or anything hip-hop related. It just the way I feel comfortable dressing, and cause it's the way I been dressing since forever, and hip-hop music never stirred me into dressing that way or not  dressing that way. The way i dress is not based on any hip-hop artist, but based on my tastes.

Alot of people I've known in my life and that have gotten to know me, know that, outside the baggy exterior there's just a ravaging gaming geek interior. And I've always been open about it, i've never given myself a gansta title. And when people like to ask me about hip-hop things like "hey have you heard of X song made by X artist." I draw a blank most of the times. So hip-hop has never really affect me personally in any way. Sure I've always hanged around people who are gangsters wanna-bes, but they've always known who I was.

As how hip-hop itself affects society; it obvious it does. It's stupid to try and deny a significant impact. Not just on how people dress, but as well as how they act and talk and how they even ride a car. If you go to the bad sights of Cali you'll see mini 50 cents vs mini Daddy Yankees. And that's all the music you'll hear. The impact doesn't have to be negative, but it mostly seems that way. It has gotten to make a stereotype, and that's how big an impact gets. If not Razor's example post is present.

So yeah I've been stereotyped all my life, but I've never given a damn, so it hasn't really affected me.

I think that the n word needs to deleted from society, but it's a bad spawn. It's a curse word. So, like that gonna happen. And I have no idea what the b word is. if it's B!tCh, then that word has always been a problem, not just on the hip-hop culture. But like I said, it's a curse word. A lot of people love to curse, and sadly you can't change the words people have loved to grow up with. And there's people that will die for not giving up these words. Sure expression blah blah.  I heard it from about 20 people, and SADLY Eminem says exactly the same. But that has always been in any type of culture not just hip-hop. And trying to get rid of any part of a culture is extremely difficult and might just get worst.

But that's just a biased opinion.

I tend to avoid hip-hop and rap completely, mostly because of most of it sucking, from what I've heard.  On very rare occasion (Samurai Champloo comes to mind >.> ) I find a rap/hip-hop song I can stand.

VERY RARE OCCASION.

It's not awful, or even bad... just boring.

And I'm not sure it's hiphop and rap affecting the kids. More like other things affecting the kids who then listen to the stuff as part of their conformist lifestyle.
