help! Is this possible?
« on: November 22, 2007, 05:30:38 PM »
I would like to make a 2d rpg (perhaps a mario or kirby like game). Where can I find suitable chipsets to achieve the 2d-looking "background". And, is it possible to make the character "jump", "crawl" and so forth. If , how can i do it and what do I need.
     Thanks in advance.

Well, this can be done with a lot of coding and loads of quite customized graphic...

You're probably better off trying to do it with the gamemaker tool and not the rpgmaker tool, would be a lot of unecessary coding I suppose...

And yeah, finding chipsets can be hard since not many people make them for a 2d game.

Well, you can always try to rip yer own objects from games. It's quite the easy stuff.
