Dreams.
« on: February 23, 2008, 07:06:21 PM »
I'm having an sequencial nightmare.

I'm in this old mansion, there are many stairs, doors and paintings. if I jump on the painting, I suddenly find myself inside of it, which is either Mario 64 or Blue's Clues influence. Anyway, I had this dream about 7 times, each time I went in a diferent painting or door. I remember I knew I was in a dream, and for some reason I was sure that, if I grabbed a treasure (I was a treasure hunter in this dream) and managed to leave the mansion before waking up, that treasure would appear with me in the real life. Anyway, there was also this butler, and he was the reason I call this a nighmare. He aways followed me at a distance, holding a tea set, and just staring at me. He didn't answer when I talked to him or anything.

One of the rooms was going up the stairs, and it took me to an Aztek-like ruin. I remember I found a treasure in there, but the butler locked me inside a dark room, and I started hearing footsteps, but there was no one nearby. I grabbed the few coins (the treasure ¬¬) and started looking for another exit, aways with the footsteps following me. Eventually I woke up, and thought "Damn, just lost a treasure!" before remembering that it was a dream and as such not to be taken seriously.

The second time I remember trying to run away from the butler, because I was sure he was the one who locked me up, so I ran to the first right door I found, and found a room with a giant mirror instead of a wall. I jumped at the mirror, and suddenly I was in my vacations house, only everything was inversed, and there was a madman who thought he was a dog walking around a woofing. When I spoke to him he answered normally, and when I tried grabbing the treasure (more coins.) from the inversed bookshelf, he jumped at me and tried to bite my neck. We strugled and I eventually killed him, then grabbed the treasure, I would run back to the exit to keep it, when the buttler appeared and just stood there in front of the mirror, to prevent me from going. I tried to force my way, but I couldn't move him, it was freaky. Then I woke up.

The third time, I jumped into a painting, and it took me to... another dream. No, the dream didn't change, but I have another recurring dream that aways happens in a tower, and this painting brought me to that exact tower. I don't remember exactly what happened in there, but I remember everything seemed like it was taken from Shadow of the Collossus, and there was no treasure nearby. Eventually I woke up, without meeting the buttler.

Furth time, I remember I dreamt a furth time, I can't remember what.

Fift time, I jumped in a painting of a cliff, and found myself falling down said cliff. I managed to grab a few coins which were also falling for a reason or another, but when I reached the ground, I woke up.

6th time, the buttler decided to change his tactic. He simply refused me to go near any door, only he didn't do anything, he stood there, and for some reason I couldn't open the doors, and I know he was behind it somehow.

7th time, I went again to the top of the stairs and again to the dark room, only this time I remembered where was the treasure and how not to fall in the buttler's trap. I grabbed the treasure and the buttler showed up behind me, and he seemed furious this time. I ran from him and back into the mansion, and when I was almost at the door, finnaly with some coins, I remember he yelled at me "IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP!".

...and I did. Seriously, I ****ing hate that buttler.

Or he can 'try' to kill the butler anyways.

Weird series of dreams, I'd say. O_o

I never had the same dream twice, and it is very rare when I notice I am dreaming. The good thing of noticing you are dreaming, is that you can kill the butler withouth worring =D
Anyway, good luck xD

 Why thank you. XD

I also remember Tomb Raider II... I remember playing it about twice. Now that you mention it, that probably where I got the buttler from.

I also remember in TBII I used to lock him in the freezer, because he creeped me out.

I love my dreams. Even if it's a nightmare, it's usually a good help to me and can get me out of a writer's block.

Is this a help thread or can we post our own dreams? I've had some pretty freaky ones.

Dreams huh..? I actually had a simmilar one... With a mansion and a Buttler.

But the Mansion was the Rowias Estate from Eternal Darkness and the Buttler was that fag from LoZ Wind Waker.

I on the other hand tried to get into the city of light at the bottom. But the buttler popped up right in front of me everytime I tried to open the right doors and blocked my path.
I tried to force my way through but he got angry and I had wallmasters(Ocarina styled) and floormasters(wind waker) after my ***.

I tried to run from them but my sanity bar was so low that something got me killed everytime I opened a door out of the main hall.

I got swallowed by one of them and appeared outside my school... Yeah, sweet dreams as my alarm went off just after gazing at the front doors...

I had this dream where a beautiful asian girl and I are making love. She's hugging and kissing on me. She looks down at me and says, "GRRRURK" (a throw up noise). I'm like, "Baby!? What the hell is going on??" She keeps making this noise then suddenly I realize that the barfing noise is the same sound my cat makes when she's getting ready  to puke. I wake up and find my cat, on my chest, throwing up.

Uck. And such a beautiful start.

Anyways, some say that dreams are a mirror into the real world; perhaps this recurring dream is a message (warning or hint) about something happening or about to happen in your life. Look for similarities between your dream and your life; there may be something going on around you that you're not yet fully aware of.

Well, there *is* a crazy english butler following me on the streets at night. And I do have so little money as to think a handful of coins make up a treasure.

From what they're saying in school, you actually dream between 4 - 6 times a night. Each dream uses at least 4 of your memories and experiences mashed together to make one. When you try to remember your dreams they merge together. You start to wonder where it all comes from.

They say the more you dream about sex, the less you're getting.  :p
