Need Music For Ruins Of Azgayle - Island Of Hope
« on: March 05, 2008, 11:01:46 PM »
Anybody interested in composing some music for Ruins Of Azgayle?  If I really enjoy your work, I will put you in the game as a hidden quest or something.

The music I'm looking for is Atmospheric and Creepy.   Think post nuclear in a medieval world in ruins.  Think Diablo or Fallout series.

I also need some battle music that will knock players off their chairs.   Keep the battle music a mixture of Heavy Metal and Strings..  Kind of like the band Night Wish or Evanessence.

I have several zones in Island Of Hope that need music and having original tunes would really spice the game up.

Here is a map of the zones in Island Of Hope.

Hope to hear some awesome stuff for the game.

Thanks everybody!

The funny thing is, I don't think that's literally possible to picture. :p

Still though, I had a go at it. Not really my best, but it's kinda thrown together, so eh...

I might try that second thing.

Anvil Studio. Very basic. :p I'm more in to 8bit or non-MIDI stuff now, though...

That my friend is awesome.  I really like it.   I could see that for Black Mask Assassin Camp or something like that!!    :Plight:

Keep them up guys!

I started your second request. May I request something in return?

If you're going to allow non-original music, Quest for Glory has some awesome music.  Well... Some are awesome, other's suck.  You have to know where to look o_o

This is something I put together rather fast. I get the feeling of a small group rummaging through the ruins of a town.

I'm not completely satisfied with the way it turned out. Or maybe it's fine, someone else should look at it.

Also, I send it to a friend of mine, but all he heard was 1 minute and 22 seconds of silence. I don't know why, it works fine for me.

Well, I haven't gotten much of a response to my game in progress, TripTrip, which I put out a demo for. I mean, that's not to say I haven't gotten any (to people who posted in the thread), but I just wish I got more feedback, whether good or bad. It might be because I posted no screens, but I'm convinced that screens don't really do it any justice and would possibly make some people not want to play it. It's in the games forum. If you have Vista or a Mac, then never mind, it won't work.

Oh, and here's a cooler version of that last song. MP3 Version
Sure, it takes up more space, but not a whole lot.

I love the MP3 version and I just added it into RoA's music.   Thank you very much for this song.  I'm going to be using it as the "Black Mask Assassins Camp"  OR "North War Zone".

I will make a video of your game when I get time bro.

I'm glad you like my map idea.  I thought AoM maps with a Median Filter would look great and it does.

A video? Okay, that's cool. Thanks!

Still working on your other request. I'll be done at some point...

Oh, and I realize a lot of people in this thread only joined recently, so I might as well say that I have a thread in the gallery that I haven't updated in a while where I posted what I think is some of my best, although many of the more recent things were experiments. Sorry, I'll stop advertising in your thread now... >.>

What do you mean, a lot of people? Would one of that lot be me? I've been here a long time, I was just never an active poster.

Exactly. It wasn't meant to be offensive. Sorry if it sounded that way. :p
