I think text messaging was the biggest fad. As a result of AIM and services like it, cell phone companies have integrated it into almost every plan. Now, people are talking text-speak. I don't know how many freaking times I have heard a teenage girl say, "o-M-G!! I so have to get that! I'll B-R-B." I shudder just thinking about it.
