ROM Hacking
« on: May 01, 2008, 03:41:29 AM »
Photobucket

 ...I was bored, okay?

Also, I won't upload the hacked rom before knowing what are Charas' policy to that.

Roms aren't allowed in any form on Charas, dude.  Pretty funny picture, though xD

I gotta tell you man, I'd kill to know what you did to hack FF1.
It's like one of the best FF games out there and I wouldn't mind making my own version of it.

Think of the possibilities!

I can hack - No, I have already hacked Final Fantasy I. Grandy, use a program like LunarIPS to make a patch, and you won't have to upload the ROM itself, and so you can upload your hack legally.

To the rest of you, www.romhacking.net should teach you all you need to know about romhacking, and don't worry, they're legal since they only upload patches but not the ROMs themselves.

I just searched "ROM Hacking" on Google. But up until now all I did was to create a blue-skinned (sigh can't figure how to change palletes) Grandy to replace Thief. I also know how to change some dialogue in the text, that's how I changed the class.

FF1 isn't that great, Dawn of Souls is just a cheap attempt to make more money off an old game that Square refuses to let die.  Given, it's an ok game, just not worth the price (or any price >_>)

That's why you download a ROM. Did have better graphics, improved battle system and then some extended gameplay.

Yo Guys, if you guys make 8-bit sprites for the other heroes of light I could put them in the game, it's not like I have anything better to do. :/

 Prolonged rainy holyday.

I thought he'd be a blck mage? Also, I still can't change the color palletes, so whoever is going to be red mage will have to have the Red Whiteand Skin colors.

I can't really seem to figure out how to do this either, only way I know to do this is by using NESticle.

I've got NESticle, but it won't work unless it's DOS.

I hate DOS. I hate it good.

Also, thanks Cherko. The site was good to learn a few things.
