@coasterkrazy: It'd sound better with real sound, but MIDI may be the only option. Is your keyboard a MIDI keyboard? If so you may as well use Soundfonts.

Yeah, it is a MIDI keyboard. It does have XG though, which is better than GM. Still though, Soundfonts can often be better than XG... Hmm... Well it's all Synth anyway.

If it's a MIDI keyboard there's no point in choosing it over Soundfonts because they're both going to sound virtually the same. May as well do it with Soundfonts for convenience.

Story continuation: there is roughly a 60% chance that I will be capable of recording by this time tomorrow.

That depends on if the recording equipment I've seen somewhere and I can't remember where is at the guitar shop I've been visiting lately.

On the rhythm thing, maybe we should start with something easier to get into our stride, otherwise this band thing is destined to fail.
