Iron Maiden sucks, seriously. What are they, 5 year old kids talking about monsters? Gimme some grown up lyrics, for God sakes.

Mastodon is just ok, nothing really great.

For what I have seen, Metallica's new stuff should be really good. Stay tuned.
Black listed. Because this whole posts is atrocious.

Nope, I wasn't.

I'm just listening to something that sounds at least interesting...Called "Foxboro Hot Tubs". First listen, then check the members of the bands. Pretty cool, actually.

Iron Maiden: For me, same deal as Dream Theater, I can recognise that they're great but they don't really do it for me.

New Metallica: No, no, no. This was hyped up as the new Master of Puppets, and Cyanide sounds like something off the arse end of Load. Furthermore, The Unforgiven III? God, just let it die. Not looking forward to that.

New Mastodon: New songs sound massively epic.

I gotta agree with the Unforgiven thing man, that's a dangerous bet. I  haven't heard Cyanide, where can I hear it?

Yeah, DT has some stuff I can't take too. I mean, they're Gods when it comes to the instrumental proficiency, but what will you do with 25' songs?? I just get nauseous by 8'!!

Iron Maiden is kinda the same. First of all, I don't like the vocals. They're good musicians, but I just get the image of virgin nerds when I hear or think about it...Yeah, IM is a no no.

I'll try Mastodon again, just for kicks.

:p I didn't say the new Metallica was going to be good. I just said I was pleasantly surprised. I like to be optimistic, though.

I never got into iron maiden... I just assumed that was something cool that I didn't really 'get'.

Have your fill of balls.

Track list on there too.

Also, strong suicide theme there, and there's a song called That Was Just Your Life. There's an old Megadeth song about suicide called This Was My Life.

I lol'd.

Sounds good to me man, don't know what you´re talking about. KNowing James, he'll hold off those vocals in the studio version. If he screams a little big more, something more raw, it'll be awesome. NO more bands do this **** today man. Plus, c'mon, trash is a trash. Thank God the moved to metal.

EDIT: Ok, seriously, it sounds awesome. James need some adjustments, but that's that. The riffs I've heard sound epic. I'm still thinking this'll be awesome.

I'm not convinced. It was hyped up as the next Master of Puppets and it sounds nothing like old Metallica.

On the subject of Metallica, I found this earlier. Probably old, but still. Awesome IMO.

As you said, old but cool. Dude, don't ever expect thing like that "The new MoP...". Seriously, people change and never come back! That's why some fans are just unfair. Course, you needn't change like Silverchair did, but changes will always come...

EDIT: Drag, check this then...old too, but cool. (there's part 2, just look for it...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Meex47-jd7s)

I'm not making it up, Lars Ulrich actually said it'd be "the next Master of Puppets" in an interview (In fact, a few interviews). If there's any disappointment we can blame him. :P

You know how mouthy Lars can get, eh? Kinda like Liam Gallegher, when he said Oasis would be the new Beatles (for Gods f***** sake...).

I just...don't know man. They used to be my favourite band!! I can take changes, of course I can. We were good until DIorama. But the last CD was just too far away from the original hard rock/ grunge they did back in teh 90s.

...

Am I starting to miss the 90s?

****.

EDIT: On the Cyanide subject, that heavy bass is just massive. Awesome, Trujillo is just awesome (and please, spare me the "He uses shorts" and the "He looks like a gorilla" noobish-music-comments, pretty please...Jason's face was a Metallica face, but he was a mediocre bassist...just check this, this  was amazing as ****: http://metallica.awardspace.com/inter8.html). And the riffs are amazing too.

The 90's were a VERY good time for rock. You shouldn't have any reason not to miss them.
